MTM Four-Can Ammo Crate - $32.99 (Free Shipping over $50)

The trays are okay, but as others have said, if these are full of ammo carrying 4 of them is not going to be fun, so it's useful for staking only really. MTM says these have a 15 pound ammo limit per box (30 pounds for the 50 cal cans). Funny how none of the store ads mention that, just the MTM website. I doubt that's a full box of loose 223 or 9mm so filling one of these full of loose ammo is probably more than MTN thinks it can take. I also prefer cans that have the buckle style latch, they seem to be more durable and stand up longer. The Flambeau tactical ones in my experience have better latches/seals and are more durable than the Plane or MTN ones.

That said at $6 each, it's not a bad price just for the cans, less if you use Active Junky's 10% cash back and 80% gift cards, at that point they are about $4.25 each.

Sunlight kills plastic. Age makes it brittle. How long do you expect to use this? If you buy one, 1st thing you'll want to do is paint it with some cheap exterior grade latex for "sunscreen;" that should add SUBSTANTIALLY to its longevity!

This is objectively a "good deal" The normal sale price at amazon is $1 more, and gets lots of TU when it is posted. Combine this with $80 cabela's gift cards.
