Description

After Taurus purchased the Beretta factory in Brazil in 1980, the Taurus 92 9mm pistol was created to improve on the Beretta design. The specially-designed drop hammer-forged ordnance-grade alloy frame won't crack or allow the slide to come off, and a three-position frame-mounted ambidextrous safety allows for a classic SA "cocked-and-locked" mode and also functions as a DA decocking lever. The Taurus 92 also features a loaded chamber indicator, the Taurus Security System, a Picatinny rail, and fixed 3-Dot sights.

Just bought one to try out. This is a beautiful gun. I have a 92 Inox . it was nice to compare both of them at the same time. I think I am very lucky to have both guns shots reliably and quite accurate. It is well worth what they are asking for especially with the plastic guns that sells twice as much as this one.

Wow! This is tempting. This was my first handgun. Bought it right around the time Lethal Weapon came out. Couldn’t afford a Beretta and could barely afford this at just about this same price, but what a gun. No telling how many thousands of rounds I put through it without the first misfire until very recently when I started to get a few jams. I polished the feed ramp which was starting to look pretty knarley after nearly 30 years but I think I need a new main spring. In any case, the gun has given me my money’s worth and much more. Taught my son to shoot with it when he was around 10. He’s 37 now and between us, we own an arsenal but this gun has a special place in my heart.

Who are all these people thumbs upping a taurus for well north of 300??? So many better choices for the 400 dollar ballpark it's ridiculous.

PT 92 FS was my first 9mm handgun, my father gave it to me for my 21st bday in the mid 90's. 1000''s of rounds thru it with no failures what so ever. Still take it to the range all the time, I introduce new shooters to 9mm with this handgun, it has light recoil and is accurate.

Funny that the ad right above this is a used 92 for a much better price.

Since it's a Beretta copy, i guess it's takes Beretta mags, right? Could anyone confirm it? Thanks!

This is virtually a Beretta bc it use all Beretta machines to made them. Beretta sold them all the equiptment when they left Brazil years ago.

Pretty sure it can, they might need some modification with a Dremel if I recall correctly.

You are correct. They need to be modified. Just buy a new one. That’s my Advice.

Bought mine in 85. Brazilian walnut grips still look great. Never a problem, just keep her clean. Paid $199 plus tax and he threw in a box of shells. Countless rounds Through it and it keeps on going.
