FYI. This morning 6/30/17, I received this response from Steyr customer service regarding this gun:

Matt,

No, we are not accepting rebates on any pistols not imported by us. The lot stamped with WA are part of that group that will not be covered by the rebate.

Thanks for your understanding,

The Steyr Arms Team

The 4th gen version has a larger mag release like the L-A1 & 17 round mags, with the bullseye logo on the frame. Also these appear to have a blank spot where it should say SAI Trussville, GA & are marked PW Arms Redmond, VA on the slides. PW Arms was the company that imported the gray market version when Steyr imports were temporarily banned. Steyr has been great about honoring the warranty on PW Arms imports but I am not so sure about the rebate.

I purchased one recently, it is what i believe to be the Gen 3 model. Came with 3 dot sights as opposed to the trapazoid sights that normally come with it. Southern Ohio gun was easy to deal with and easy to get a hold of on the phone or email. If you don't mind the gen 3 model I highly suggest buying this item from them

Anyone call Steyr and verify if this pistol qualifies for the rebate?

Yes, me too. I would actually like to have trapezoidal sites on my other pistols.

Southern Ohio gun been around forever. Nice place. Shipping is reasonable. Around $20. I dunno why they wont show the rate before purchase but it's been that way for years. Never had a complaint. My dad was taking me there as a kid 20+ years ago.

Nope. Rebates are good until June 30th. Discounts ended on June 2nd. Look under terms and conditions:

I wonder if these are some of the gray market M9A1's from a couple of years ago.

Older model but price isn't bad I looked into it they told me would be $20 to ship.

Probably a good deal but I refuse to order from a company that is not upfront about shipping. It says that shipping cost will be generated AFTER order is complete. What?

Yeah that would put me off too. Interesting to is that this model does not have the trapezoid sights. It has the 3-dots. I actually like the trapezoid sights.
