Allows you to mount an optic on an AK by replacing the rear sight with this part. Provides a rear sight *and* optic mount that allows you to co-witness with iron sights to quickly sight the red dot in without wasting ammo. Simply align the dot at the top of your sight picture and you're on.

Some AK's have the side optic mount, however, they typically require a mount and optic solution. Many AK's don't have the side rail and the option to add one will mean a permanent modification to the rifle's receiver. There are many optic mount solutions out there and this is one of the easiest and cost-effective solutions I've used. Supports most of the popular red dot optics available with specific mounts to match or a railed version to any other type using standard 1913 rail systems. Doesn't require removal to clean or service the weapon.
