The Strike Iron Sights (Standard Height) give you the best affordable option so you can throw away those plastic or boring OEM steel sights. Designed to help with proper sight alignment and keep the shooter's eyes focused, there is the natural light that is seen on both sides of the front sight between the u-notch rear sight. Steps placed in the rear of both sights help angle and reduce unwanted glares or reflections out of your eyes. Lines and angles are designed to use natural light reflections and shadow play to keep the user's eye aligned and focused on the target. The rear sight is designed with a negative angle so that the shooter will see the back wall as dark as possible to give total focus on the sights. The line running down the middle of the rear sight is there to catch light from above and create a " line" illusion in the shooter can use to assist in aiming. The front sight can be painted to the user's color preference or use glow-in-the-dark paint to customize the look and use of the sights. Holosun HS507C X2 Micro Red Dot
Red Dot Sights have their origin from aircraft gunsights or 'collimators' where the shooter's reticle is projected on a clear lens/glass pane allowing for easier target acquisition and a clearer sight picture of a target, later adapted for smalls arms rifles, red dots exist to be incredibly sturdy, and reliable open sight picture 'optics'. Red Dot Sights(RDS) allow for faster target acquisition due to their wide-open glass nature and feature almost unlimited eye relief as the projected reticle is reflected off of the glass and back into the shooter's eye. meaning you can see your point of aim from almost anywhere on a rifle or pistol. The AR-15 platform was adapted for use with these aiming systems back in the late 80s when the carry handle was being sidelined in favor of the distinct Flat-Top / Picatinny rail system.
About this Sight System: The new HS507C Micro Red Dot System from Holosun is a pistol-sized optic with an open frame for a great sight picture, clear glass, and a rugged 7075 aluminum housing. It is powered by a CR2032 battery and Holosun's innovative Solar Fail-safe backup. The HS507C will run up to 10 years on a single battery on setting 6, dot only. Featuring Holosun's Multi-reticle system, the HS507C allows the operator to switch the reticle between a 32 MOA circle with 2 MOA dot, a 2 MOA dot only, or a 32 MOA ring only, all at the push of a button. Better yet, the same LED projects all three reticles, so no re-zeroing is necessary. It comes equipped with Holosun's Shake Awake technology with the last setting recall.
Illumination: This sight is illuminated red for a great contrast against low visibility targets.
