The SIG P210 is a locked breech, self-loading, semi-automatic pistol that was created and produced in Neuhausen am Rheinfall (Canton of Schaffhausen, Switzerland) by SIG from 1948 until 2006. The Swiss Army refers to it as Pistole 49, while the civilian version was known as SP47/8 before 1957. It is made entirely of steel and has 9mm and 7.65mm Parabellum chambers. It was utilized by Swiss Army and police forces from 1949 to 1975. Additionally, it was accepted in 1951 and is still in use with the German Bundespolizei, the Danish Military (as M/49 Neuhausen or simply Neuhausen), and in shooting competitions. The Swiss Army deactivated the pistols and replaced them with the 1975-developed SIG Sauer P220, known as the Pistole 75 in the Swiss Army. Up until 2006, the P210 was still manufactured in Switzerland. SIG Sauer GMBH of Germany introduced a new model in 2010, the P210 Legend, while SIG Sauer Inc. of New Hampshire in the United States launched the P210A in 2017. The P210 Carry was first introduced at the 2010 Shot Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was later launched in 2022 by Sig Sauer. There are five other versions of this firearm: 44/8, 44/16, SP 47/8 (9mm Parabellum), SP 47/8 (7.65mm Parabellum), and SP 47/8 (.22 LR).
