You know there are two models right? The MSRP is like $50 more for the one with 3 mags and multiple palmswells. Your rant was good except Stoeger already is listening. I could do with out the palmswells if after market makers
Our WW2 grandfathers are rolling over in there graves, but it seems the only limit to these ArT-15’s is their creators imaginations. I mean really, what’s next? Maybe it’s a 30-round magazine molded as ‘The Thinker’? Hell, if it gets the art loving liberal crowd to become more supportive of the 2nd amendment. By God, so be it. Hell, make a Rembrandt ArT-15, or Michelangelo, mona lisa, or what’s his faces ‘starry night’ on a rail for all i care. Whatever it takes. Maybe, just maybe this ArT-15 craze could solve a ton of our problems with the gun hating liberals. They claim to love art and creativity. These guys making these things are definitely not selling them like hot cakes, and thus the outrageous premiums, but I may be onto something here. What do you guys think?
I would go with the Recce. Pick up one of their complete lowers for $325 and you can find the uppers for around $570 at primary arms on sale about once a month. I’d go with the lightweight or BFH versions. If you buy upper/lower separate you save hundreds and get the same warranty and support from BCM. They also have bcm BCG’s on sale at the sametime. Stick Bcm BCG, Then add a raptor lt your in for $1,100. If you dig a bit you can find complete Bcm uppers on GB for $500. Which puts you around $800 for complete gun! I just picked up a complete upper for $375 with bipod and Larue QD Mount. Add lower for $325 and I’m around $800. I have the 10.5 inch, 14.5 BFH, and 20 inch versions. I’ve spent under $1k on all of them. If this is your first or main AR go with BCM. Great resell value and amazing, lightweight/accurate gun. There’s a great review AK operator does on them. Someone mentioned larues and they are great guns but I’d prefer BCM. I actually have a PredatOBR in 556 with 14.5 barrel. Amazing gun but heavy and expensive. I will say the factory target shows .246 group. There are cheaper ways to go with Larue as the gentlemen mentioned but I’d stick with BCM. I could go into detail on why but it would be a book. Larue is a great option for AR number 2 or 3 in my honest opinion. Plus their resell sucks. Which only matter if you buy, sell, and trade like I do. I would have a hard time getting $1,500 for my PredatOBR which sells for $2,500. I’ve done a lot of horse trading with Bcm’s and always come out WAY on top of you take my advice on where to find them. I have a Zev billet build in 300 blkout. It’s an amazing gun with best of everything but It’s more of toy and I only run suppressed. I’m sure this forged version is solid but so many great options at this price point or a little more and you picking up lots of features with proven track record. Other options you should check out include LWRC DI and PWS (in-line). I have owned and put thousands of rounds though all major AR manufactures and my go to’s are BCM, PWS Mk1 md2, Larue PredatOBR, POF renegade +, and LWRC. Daniel Defense is ok but you paying at least $1,200 for a gun with mil spec trigger, charging handle, no compensator, etc... Heck there was a unfired 14.5 BCM Mlok that had raptor charging handle, surefure break pinned, radian Ambi safety, Draco, and 5 Mags that sold for $1k last week on GB.
That’s a great rifle. Deals are out there if you know where to look. I pay around $1,300 for my PWS Mk1 md2 AR’s and is argue there is not a better option at that price point. You get full Ambi lightweight recievers, long stroke piston, nice trigger, compensator, great furniture, ratchet QD endplate, and the 3 I own currently shoot sub MOA all day long. Plus, there customer service is amazing. I broke a charging handle in a 2 gun completion last summer and they shipped me a new one no questions asked. Hopefully this provides some more context. It’s a great time love AR’s as they are dirt cheap and have come a long way. Unfortunately I’ve gotten into AK’s over the last year and it’s easy to spend $1,500-$2,500 on one. Not to mention they are hard to find so stick with AR’s;). One final thought. If you don’t mind piston guns get a Sig MCX. My favorite all around shooter. Super light, piston, Ambi safety, folding stock and accurate. You can find them for around $1k. I paid $1,100 I think for the normal version. Not the hybrid. The new version (virtus) will run you arm and leg but deals can be found on older version. Oh and one last thing on Larue. I’m still waiting for their support team to help me out. I have $6k in Larue AR’s and can’t get a reply on basic question. Never had that issue with POF, PWS, or BCM. Sig can be pain in ass to deal with just because they are so big. But still respond.
