Love this stuff. Stocked up on it at Walmart when it was $10 a box. Clean. Accurate. Brass can't complain. Zqi is selling a lot on imi now too on their website. Anyone use that 77 gr razor core? Been looking at that may want to add it to the stash

Never shot it, but everything I've read is excellent. The heavier bullet is a good choice for 1-7 or 1-8 barrel twist setups. Supposed to be a cheaper clone of MK 262 ammo.

Pretty good stuff, especially considering the cost.
IMHO this is the best 5.56 ammo you can buy for .31/rd. I've shot thousands of rounds of this stuff through my Tavor and two AR's. Zero issues. I think the M855 is not correct for this ammo. It is SS109 and is Turkish made. M855 is a US military spec and I believe only Lake City and IMI make the official spec M855. All the IMI M855 I have has the NATO stamp on it. The ZQI has MKE 14 stamped on it, no NATO stamp. Both rounds have a steel penetrator bullet (which is actually where SS109 comes from - the bullet), but only the IMI is painted green. Next best thing for the price per round is Silver Bear. But for a few cents more per round, I prefer the ZQ1, being its brass and 62 gr as opposed to 55 gr non brass Silver Bear. But both shoot reliably in all my guns. If you want the best M855, hands down it's the Israeli IMI stuff. You can get it for about .37 per round shipped at Widener's.

From ZQI's facebook page on this subject:

"Here is a slight clarification/a few more details. ZQI Ammunition is a U.S. company, based in Afton, VA. We are the exclusive importer and distributor of MKE products in North America. Both brands, ZQI and Guardian, are our own creation. Our first brand of MKE-manufactured ammunition we called ZQI, but subsequently had a need to brand our product a second way, so we came up with Guardian. ZQI and Guardian are the exact same MKE-manufactured product - just with a different headstamp and with different packaging/branding. We have since made a connection with IMI in Israel, so now we are also importing products from them."
