$435 for this-must be a joke. Don't get me wrong, the M57 is a decent 1930's-50's surplus military handgun, but this is just current production of the same basic design in 9mm. It's far less interesting as a commercial handgun than military surplus, and you can get much more modern designs with all the improvements in handgun technology in the last 80 years along with better fit and finish for this price or less. They are practically giving Beretta APXs away at $330 at several vendors right now.
They dont show a picture of the side with the safety, I remember I bought a surplus M57 that had the trigger safety and the tasteful import marks I wish they all were like that (surplus wise)! !!!!!CLASSIC MORE LIKE THIS PLEASE!!!!!
These are great I found one a few yrs ago and snatched it up, only paid 1/3 of what they're asking pistol had already been fired so I've fired it hundreds of times very accurate for what it is
Agreed. I just very rarely see them in a polished finish.
I found mine collecting dust in a pawn shop display case, think I paid about 175-200 dollars for it it's no where near perfect some tooling marks under the slide and the notch on the hammer is not the proper design so carrying it cocked is a no no , but it had a pristine bore and looked to have been fired very little it's an interesting piece for any collection no doubt
Keep in mind, this is not a surplus pistol. All steel pistols cost a bit more to make these days. However, I don't see any draw to this, especially at this price. Ever since they cut out the middle man (Century) and started importing for themselves through Zastava Arms USA, they somehow managed to jack prices up on everything. It makes no sense. Nobody is paying new Glock prices for one of these.
