Description

Zastava Arms has a few decades of experience building millions of AK-47 pattern rifles and the new ZPAP85 AK Pistol really shows it. Imported through Zastava Arms USA, the new ZPAP AK-47 is built on a stamped 1.5mm receiver with a bulged trunnion for rigidity. The attention to detail on the new ZPAP M85 is superb from the properly set rivets to the deep blue finish that blends beautifully with the dark walnut forearm and synthetic pistol grip—all of which are US made parts for 922R compliance. The polished Nickel Molly steel bolt carrier and double stack bolt provide a stark contrast with the rest of the gun that really set it apart from the rest of the market in terms of aesthetic. However, aesthetic is not usually what most people look for when purchasing a Kalashnikov for their collection and the ZPAP M85 Pistol exudes function over form. It features a bolt hold open notch in the safety selector for locking the bolt open without a mag and even comes with a bolt hold open capable magazine, making reloads much faster. The hinged dust cover allows quick access to the internals like the heat treated fire control group and features Krinkov style sights on top as well as a picatinny rail segment for optics. The Zastava USA ZPAP85 Pistol chambered in 5.56 NATO will make a fine addition to any level of collector while still providing the performance expected from a high quality AK at the range.

Prices for PAPs have gone up tremendously. Gone are the days of $550 N and O Paps. By severing ties with Century, Zastava has put more quality in their products, and prices rose even before COVID.

At that price sounds like a male -ZPAP-smear . Fuckin Covid.

Sad, I bought the M85pap that takes the yugo mags 5 years ago for about $500 new and mags were $15. Tell me why the hell these should more than double in price in 5 years?

Because Trump signed another AK import ban and prices shot up again.

Because Zastava ditched Century as an importer and set up shop here themselves. Plus, the new rifles have chrome lined barrels and walnut stocks, and there's no drunken monkeys working on mag wells any longer. Pre-COVID/election cycle, the new PAPs were running $700-800, which is reasonable. Now, things are stupid.

Because prices on all AK stuff has gone through the roof. Almost everything has doubled in price since 2015

Like NOTHING has doubled in price since 2015 (well maybe ammo, in the short term, since COVID).

The government says inflation has only increased 8.4% in the past 5 years. LOL

+$1k and takes proprietary mags. Unless you just have to have a 5.56mm AK pistol, get an AR.

it doesn't take proprietary mags, the fb, wpb and pro mag .223/5.56 ak mags work with it.

Okay, proprietary wasn't the right word. Still an oddball mag, and I don't trust Pro-Mags.

Circle 10 and beryl mags also work on this model. Good call on skipping the promags.

Well look who's mouth left the glory hole?! Calm down rich. Let's leave the comments to the real shooters not the fun boys on here trying to be validated. This pistol is awesome just not at this price. Now, stop inboxing me ya weirdo.

This is how this started, I said ar mags don't belong in an ak, you take offence to that, you start bombarding me with messages in my inbox, then try to say I'm messaging you, brother you need some serious help.

buck you have the knowledge of a 12 year old, also did you not think I could screen cap your messages to show you started this shit first over nothing... very smart guy.

Stop crying man, you got called out for acting like a troll. Look at your comment history, always trash talking and clashing with others. Short dick syndrome for sure. Hope your internet hype makes you feel bigger little buddy. To address your claim that the m85 was a "failure" due to using AR mags is laughable. It's a solid platform which you clearly have no experience with.

buck you got thoroughly owned and resorting to insults just proves it more and yeah it is pretty awesome to prove you're the douche who won't leave me alone. Go get a hobby or something.

Bro, nobody got owned. We're 2 grown ass men bickering over the internet. We both look like assholes.

These new ZPAPS need to have the option to use standard AR 15 magazines.

1 vote
1 vote

No, it doesn't... they tried that the first time and it failed, cross platform mags do not work well.

1 vote

How you figure it failed?? I have a pap m85 np that rips AR mags. Not a single ftf or fte for over 2k rounds.

1 vote
1 vote

It failed becuase they don't make it with the ar mag adapter anymore... platform dedicated mags work/look better and the adapter made this look ugly as shit

It was a limited production, that doesn't mean it failed. Just because you didn't like the look also doesn't mean it failed. It appears you've never owned one and have no idea wtf you're talking about

"limited production" "failed" seeing as they are not produced these are similar terms... bottom line it was a dumb experiment to satisfy people like you, who probably have 1 ak and complain that it can't take your ar mags... when there are people like me who have other 5.56 aks (and multiple other variants) that take normal ak mags and we were left in the dust by zastava.

17 AKs and counting ya little keyboard warrior! My pap m85np holds up great to my 106u & 106f. StFu about "failing" due to taking AR mags. What are you evening talking about man? I bought for $550 new from sportsmans guide 5 years back. It's a sweet pistol for the price. Ask any true AK guy and they'll agree. Just visit the topic on the AK files. The models tried and true. Your anti AR mag flex is weird bro. Stop trying so hard.

Alright calm down retard, you still have no idea what you're talking about... if you ACTUALLY had those arsenals you wouldn't want a 5.56 ak that takes ar mags that's just completely redundant.

Cool story bro.

You are just one of those people with an extra chromosome I get it... also funny you being twice my age tries to take this shit to my inbox like your argument has any validity, glad you have 17 aks? like seriously who gives a fuck I have 18 suck my dick boy.

you just use the same insult over and over again cunt nugget do you think that actually affects someone calling them gay over the net lol, all this over being mad about not being able to take AR mags what a baby xD

Says the little boy raining down non stop homoerotic insults. Your shit is played out and middle school at best. You got called out for posing as an internet expert on all things firearms. You're full of shit short stack. You've never even owned this rifle.
