Fwiw I bought this from J&G. The price was a little high but it is a great AK. Soft shooting and very reliable. Works with all of my mags including magpul gen 1 and yugo hold open mags.

The rifles Century have built have had a number of problems.
I would stay away from this.
If in the market, get a WASR AK for the same price

No way. This has a US made receiver and barrel. Buy the NPAP for a hundred less and get the superior rifle.

Classic sold them couple months ago for $500. I'm sure they will have them again soon. Stay away from J&G. bunch of thieves.

I bought the Yugo M70 AB2 Underfolder and was a little dissapointed. Havnt had a chance to shoot it yet so I cant speak of reliability but the Dust cover doesnt line up worth a shit, underfolder was way to tight and had to loosen/adjust, and none of the numbers match. I do however like the beefy 1.5mm trunnion and the rifle feels like it will last a long time.

Must have been a good deal, sold out in an hour.

Don't get too excited. This gun has no side scope mount and the thicker receiver makes it a real chore to put one on.

WHY YOU WANT RAIL FOR AK? IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH AS PROCURED FROM IZHEVSK MECHANICAL WORKS? YOU THINK NEEDS IMPROVEMENT? THEN MAYBE YOU FIND JOB WITH ARMY OF RUSSIA! YOU HAVE DRINKS WITH MIKHAIL KALASHNIKOV, TRADE STORY OF MANY WEAPONS DESIGNED AND DETAILS OF SCHOOL FOR ENGINEERING!

OR MAYBE YOU NOT DO THIS. PROBABLY IS BECAUSE YOU NEVER DESIGN WEAPON IN WHOLE LIFE. YOU LOOK AT FINE YUGOSLAVIAN RIFLE, THINK IT NEED CRAZY SHIT STICK ON ALL SIDES OF WEAPON. YOU HAVE DISEASE OF AMERICAN CAPITALIST, CHANGE THING THAT IS FINE FOR NO REASON EXCEPT TO LOOK DIFFERENT FROM COMRADE. YOU PUT CHEAP FLASHLIGHT OF CHINESE SLAVE FACTORY ON ONE SIDE, YOU PUT BAD SCOPE OF AMERICAN MIDDLE WEST ON OTHER SIDE, YOU PUT FRONT PISTOL GRIP ON BOTTOM SO YOU ARE LIKE AMERICAN MOVIE GUY JOHN RAMBO. MAYBE YOU PUT SEX DILDO ON TOP TO FUCK YOURSELF IN ASSHOLE FOR MAKING SHAMEFUL TRAVESTY OF RIFLE OF MIKHAIL KALASHNIKOV, NO?

RIFLE IS FINE. YOU FUCK IT, IT ONLY GET HEAVY AND YOU STILL NO HIT LARGEST SIDE OF BARN. GO TO FIRING RANGE, PRACTICE WITH MANY MAGAZINE OF CARTRIDGE. THEN YOU NOT NEED DUMB SHIT PUT ON SIDE OF RIFLE.

Why would i want a siderail on an akm? For the same reason the russian military wants a siderail on an akm. Technology has improved in the last 40 years and a red dot makes the rifle a more effective killing machine.

Note that this is not a sale. Classic just raised the price of this gun $20 in the last month or so - They were selling it for $499. I bought this gun and would say it was an OK deal at $499. I do have some gripes about the gun. It has no scope side rail and putting one on this receiver was quite a challenge. The rear sling attachment is held on with a very thin strip of metal that is secured to the receiver by being bent over - no screws or rivets. I do not trust it to hold the weight. Lastly the furniture is ok for plastic; but it is a non-standard size so butt-pads, etc for std AK will not fit it. Also plan on paying $25 Shipping.

I bought this one last time around. Quality firearm. Stock and handguards are cheap, but for < $500 I'll live with them.

Your link is for a Zastava PAP AK47 rifle, while this is for a Yugo M70B1 made from old military parts kit. This M70B1 is the military version with grenade launcher gas cut off gas block and bayonet lug. The Zastava PAP is a new production sporting AK47 imported with no military features.

Is the bulged trunnion the better one?

The bulged trunnion version usually has a thicker receiver.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but both of these rifles have bulged trunnions.

J&G lists in the OPAP description "Yugo pattern RPK heavy duty receiver" so I assume it's the ticker receiver as well. It also has a side rail. Built from both new and old parts.

Centerfire's M70B1 does not have a side rail, it has a grenade launcher and it also has bulged trunion.
