Looks great.

Said no one, ever.

I wish they had the normal stock and pistol grip instead of this thumbhole California looking crap.

This is the best deal going for a new AK. The NPAPs are great rifles and are a worthy addition to any collections, large or small.

Does anybody know if the new Magpul Zhukov stock and handguard will work with this rifle? Greatly appreciate any information.

Thanks,
Shadow

As chuck3234 said, the stock will not fit as there isn't the appropriate trunnion to accept it. The foregrip should fit no problem as it attached directly to the barrel. I hope this helps.

Hand guard maybe but I doubt it. Stock decently not. Npap uses a different trunnion than akm rifles. Pap rifles are not akm spec. So don't expect akm furniture to work. And magpul is akm.

Does anyone know if you can put the underfold stock on these? Since they are based on the M70B1 and M70AB2, plus I see a pin where it would attach I would assume it should but I am far from experienced with the AK variants. Any help would be much appreciated!

No.

Actually you can but it would not be cost effective.

I doubt it would be 'drop in' and may requiring boring of holes, gunsmithing, etc. Plus, most of the underfolder kits parts online kits are Romanian or Polish. If you want an underfolder you should buy one to avoid any problems. Personally I wish I could put this stock on my underfolder M70 AB2. If you live near Raleigh, NC I will trade you straight up if you buy this…no joke.

I appreciate the insight and the offer. I think Portland, OR is a little bit out of the neighborhood. Have you tried to put one of these stocks on your underfold? The factory Zastava are maybe $10 on eBay or 5 for $20 at Apex. I bought one just to see if I could retrofit one in to an A2 fixed stock on my AR. I haven't got around to it yet but for the price I figured why not?!

I have thought about it but haven't bought one. I didn't realize they were that cheap....for that price it might be worth a gamble. Thanks for the idea. Offer still stands if you drive to NC ;)

I have been looking for a reasonably priced N-PAP. My question is: would it be cheaper to buy this and switch the stock over to either a normal butt-stock or under folder, or just buy one configured that way to start with?

If want a underfolder buy an ak that's manufactured that way unless you feel comfortable working with metal and light to medium gunsmithing. As for a standard or 6 position stock you can go cheap with wood or plastic for around 70$. I have seen wooden stock on eBay for 10$

Either way. If you buy this one you can buy the stock you really want and sell this stock via ebay or CL

I love my n-pap. Zastava is quality manufacturing and extremely good value in my opinion. I like the traditional wood furniture, so I am not personally excited by this style offered here, but to each his own, and the value and quality is verified outstanding regardless.

Been on the fence for a while now....getting harder to find these PAPs.....would have rather had the wood furniture, but picked one up....

Wow....These Guys' shipping reminds me of PSA....Been a week in "Pack" status......:(

All of my firearms from Classic sat in the "Pack" state for about a week. It seems pretty standard for them. I love Classic, but that's my only complaint. They take way too long to ship.

Most likely they do not have them on hand in their store, they are held at a distributor. Once you order them they are shipped to the retailer, entered into their FFL logbook, then sent out to your FFL, so they are not holding on to stock that may not move and but this seems like a "delay" in shipping. Some like to use the term warehouse when it's really the most profit making distributor is where the firearm is located at. Hope that clears it up a bit, I ask if they have the firearm on hand or is at the distributor so get an idea is it a week or going to be long before I see it at my FFL.

i dun see 'chrome lined' in the description, so i guess they are not chrome lined.

None of the Zastava PAPs are chromelined. In fact most Yugo/Serbian rifles aren't chromelined, like the Yugo SKS. Even still, they are hammer-forged barrels, very well made. Surplus Yugo SKS's are great, accurate rifles and military M70 AKs have seen combat in the Middle East and seem to run just as well as chromelined AKs.

Zavasta and chomelined arent often seen in the same sentance these days, so id say thats a fair assumption. Id have no reservations concerning the quality regardless.

Looks like a good deal to me. Pic rail on dust cover looks like a good option if you like that kind of stuff. Actually did some research and get conflicting info about this having the pic rail or not. Looks like it has scope mount on side of receiver.
Just wondering about bolt being double stack? barrel? receiver? Anyone have one or know?
