Just received my 500rd case of this stuff today from Brownells. Was shipped in the original box from Wolf factory. No additional packaging like SGAMMO or Primary Arms and other online stores. This shit literally has ZERO padding or protection other than the mfg's cardboard box. Upon inspection, I have dented casings in multinple boxes. Wolf Ammo boxes of 20 rounds come in plastic holders. There was so much crush force going on that those plastic holders dented the soft steel casings. Also there is so much paper/box dust from rubbing or vibration, that the ammo needs to be unboxed and cleaned. Total wast of time and money. Will not order ammo from Brownells as they don't package for shit. Can't wait for jams and feed failures with this stuff. Great buy, not.
Every time they had a good deal on 65 gren ammo For past 8 yrs I’d add to cart and when I checked out it show notify when available ! Now they went up in price on this junk ammo! No thanks, keep it
Not a deal. Bought a 500 round case just last November from Brownells for $115 shipped.
Hold out til vendors are actually hungry.
Good deal. In stock as of today (11/09/19)
The acronym OOS stands for lots of things. Are you trying to say its Out of Specification and just can't be bothered to spell it out? Is it due to the bullet diameter being 0.002" smaller than the standard? I can say I've purchased this from Brownells in the past and it shoots, although not as accurately as more expensive 6.5 Grendel (3+ inch 10 shot groups at 100 yds vs 1.5 inches or less). It suffices as blasting ammo, but its no great deal.
OOS = out of stock...obviously. I understand your point but also, critical thinking skills.
If the product is out-of-stock use the "report problem" button and select that option. That's why it's there.
This is a lower price than what I paid for the same ammo via SG a couple of years ago w/ their coupon, and at the time that was a considered a RED HOT deal. So yes, buy it cheap & stack it deep! Just remember that this ammo is slightly undersize [.264, instead of .268 iirc?] and therefore lower pressure & lower velocity than other Grendel of similar grain weight; you'll definitely need to re-zero if you're used to shooting the higher-priced spread! This is general blasting-grade, & doesn't live up to the accuracy standard Grendel is known for, so don't get your hopes up. For the price, it's OK.
UPDATE: The Wolf bobos measure .262" and normal 6.5mm bobos are supposed to measure .264 (I *knew* I'd mungered the #s in my OP!) You can read more about it here: https://www.ar15.com/forums/general/WOLF-6-5-Grendel-bullets-are-UNDERSIZED/5-2041607/... ]
Terrible accuracy, low velocity. But hey no one wants to pay 1 dollar per round for 556, wait its only 50 cents and this is almost a dollar a round?! No thanks
