Just like several others have posted here.... spend a little more money and get some higher quality ammo. I bought 500 rounds of this garbage from my local Academy and had nothing but trouble with it in three different handguns. This stuff if good for malfunction drills, but that’s about it.

I bought some at Walmart. Really low quality looking out of the box but I didn't have any malfunctions of any kind. I shot 3-150rnd boxes and while yes the ammo is "gritty" my Glock 17 cleaned up just as easy as any other range trip.

Not a deal when good brass is .16 and .17 all day shipped. No tax in Az. Some even cheaper with rebates. Steel case was good when 9 was going for .21+. Dont buy a coffee or two so you can save and buy brass like an adult.

Just no! Unless you want to practice gunsmithing, rma drills and life time warranty field tests stay away from this ammo. Do not use this junk in a safe queen under any circumstances.

Broken extractor, gummed up magazines, dirty hands and filthy semi jam o mattic maker. 200 rounds is a great way to torture test imo. If you can run it in your gun I would have complete confidence in it.

Don't buy this stuff, not worth any money you save. It's rough and gritty, it seemed already corroded even though I shot it the same day I bought it from academy. It will really dirty up your gun and your hands, and I say this as someone who shoots Tula pretty frequently. It worked fine in the glock magazines, but the followers kept getting stuck in the pmag 17 and 15s. Never had that happen with any other ammo. Fired fine through the gun, but wow were those things dirty after just 300 rounds through 2 guns. I've gone 5-600 in a gun without cleaning plenty of times, these were dirtier than those times at just 150 or so each. Also, after loading up 5 or 6 mags with them before going to the range, my fingers were completely black. And the insides of the guns were far dirtier than usual. I took them completely apart rather than a usual field strip because they were so dirty. Whatever they use to coat those things makes a lot more of a mess than any other steel case ammo I've fired. YMMV but I'd steer clear of this ammo. The little bit of money you save is not worth it, IMO.

I’ve used it never had an issue both in 9mm and 45 ACP

Fingers got dirty after a little while of coming in contact with the ammo and I only loaded about 3 12rd mags for my G2C to test if the gun would have any issues with it. They fired fine through it, just very dirty. The price is not bad but I'll stick to magtech for about 2 cents more and the federal aluminium for about the same price.

Trust me when I say this , buy Blazer Brass or S&B . This is total garbage ammo. I bought a case of this stuff thinking I was getting good brass cases ammo. I found it was steel case after purchased but was fine with that , as Wolf works Ok for practice ammo. Your hands will be black from just loading the magazine. It's super dirty.

It ran great through my Taurus g2c and was as accurate as anything. However, this ammo is coated with a graphite powder to help it not stick in your chamber or rust. This powder turns your fingers black. While this ammo functions fine that powder is getting into every nook and cranny on your gun. I would hard pass. Shooting enough of this is going to cost you in the long run in my opinion.

Ammo worked great in my M&P. I even had it loaded in mags for 6 months and didn’t have any failures. Seemed like functioning ammo (only shot 150 rounds of it). That being said, I wouldn’t buy it again. Rounds bind on each other when you load them. You have to be careful or they won’t seat properly.

This ammo is fine for plinking but I have seen people shooting it and the charges are very uneven. I had seen a guy firing through a couple mags of it and the accuracy was pretty standard at 15 yards but every once in a while it appeared to be a double charge because it sounded like .44 mag and shot out a fireball. After the second one he stopped shooting it. He appeared to only have one box of it. I told him I thought it was bad ammo without going into detail. Maybe that was just a bad batch but it scared me off from trying it.

Nah...stick to the brass or aluminum cased.

Aluminum is so underrated. I think there's only two companies that make aluminum ammo, specifically 9mm, and it's all great for range work.

This stuff is junk, jams and is very dirty. Steel casing have a white powder finish that doesn’t come off .Save your money. If you must shoot steel case ammo stick with Tul Ammo at least that stuff doesn’t jam

I’d wish there’s a huge sign telling buyer this is steel case ammo. I bought some white box 9mm from Academy a few months ago, and I am very happy with the purchase, it’s $.15/rd, just like this one. Well, I admit that I didn’t pay attention and ordered 1500 rounds from them. My friend told me it’s steel case, and I called in to cancel the order after placing it five minutes ago. The CS lady told me it’s not eligible to cancel, I can either return it to the store, which the closest one is 4 hours driving or call the carrier to return to the sender once the tracking number is available, which I think it’s very unsecured. Anyway, I’d hope that the second option would work...

They return ammo? Most will not.Save your emails and take them with you when you do return.

Yeah, that’s what CS told me. I think as long as the shipping package is not opened, you can take it to one of the Academy locations to return. I am going to call the carrier once the shipping information is available to return to the sender

Just an update. I successfully returned this ammo to Academy by contacting carrier to return to the sender. Just need call Academy to follow up once the return is completed

If you wait for sales you could get brass cased for this price. I never run steel in my pistols

I wanted to like it because of the price but it's pretty dirty. I had some failures in Springfield EMP late in a range session and I suspect the gun was dirty from shooting this earlier. I still have some but will choose when to shoot it, and in what gun, carefully, and I probably won't buy it again.

My first time buying steel cased this is trash just buy brass. The price is tempting sounds kinda nice but you'll be disappointed.

Was going to try it but sold out. Might as well move on people.

Been through a couple of boxes. I habe also used aluminum and brass case Federal and Whote Box. I can't tell any difference based in accuracy. Powder fouling is about the same between all four, but the steel case has a coating that is most likely there to reduce rust chances. It leaves your hands dirty when loading. I like it since i can let the casings fly and just sweep up rather than collect brass.

I'm still shooting this through a Glock 19, a Taurus Millennium G2 as well as an AR 9 millimeter pistol and AR 9 millimeter Carbine Works flawlessly and all of them

I don't have any experiences yet with hogs' asses... but yeah it's dirty. I put 350 rounds through my G17 Roni and it fed and fired 99.42857% (two of 350 did not fire though primers dented--second time both fired). I practically dipped the Roni chassis in CLP and still didn't get all the residue... I purchased 1000 rounds total so the rest is reserved for my Hi-Point (the manual only recommends a brush thru the barrel every 500 rounds).

Academy charges tax even though their nearest location is half the country away from me. Brownells does not. Not a tough choice.

Decent range ammo. I ran 300 rounds yesterday without a single issue. It is dirty but it won't hurt anything other than a little bit more time cleaning your firearm.

Solid ammo but this is not something you want to shoot at the range regularly. In my opinion, you put this in an ammo can and bury it somewhere you know, just in case.

Why buy this when there are other ads on this site, mere days old, that sell brass 9mm for $0.18 per round?

Hell the aluminum rounds are cheaper and aren’t nearly as filthy as these rounds are. Your thumbs will be black after losing a mag lol.

aluminum is relatively unsafe for blowback, steel is safer than brass.

In for 4 boxes ~ 600rds...works out to $8.91/50 shipped. Not bad for cheap steel case range ammo.
