Winchester www site says these are made of Tin (no mention of alloy); weight of 26 grns. Best used for Indoor ranges, where lead spall/ off gas makes for unsafe chemical hazard to breathe lead dust for the shooters and especially the range workers/ safety officers. Also, when hunting gophers at long ranges ( and you do not police up your dead targets ), then lead bullet ( sharpnel) won't be ingested by carrion birds/ scavenger animals, and then these animals get lead poisoning...
