Least reliable .22LR made.

For same price per round there are much better options. I’ve had too many bad rounds that fail to fire in all my guns.

I bought three boxes at Walmart for $14.34 each. Bought three other brands too, but that was the cheapest.

About the only Winchester ammo ALL my .22's will digest is the M-22 (Browning bpr clone) - mixed performance with this particular variety.

I was a little quick, JB. In my experience this stuff doesn't work well. But then I took it further and projected my feelings of this product upon your post. Sorry about that.

Wow, how much is your time worth JBDive, with those super fancy calculations? The time you wasted, spend the extra .017589¢ per round for some cci. They actually go bang. People, this is junk ammo. He thinks he is doing people a favor. No offense

Well yeah that was rather insulting as I was posting that info for others instead of just bitching about the product or the posters.

I have boxes of this same product and have had no issues. We use it all the time in our Ruger 10/22's for plinking. Right now I'm probably not buying as I have plenty but I am still considering it at that price.

I think it's worth noting that prices are falling and while it may only be a penny at this price that's actually what, around 35% difference in price, even more if you don't pay sales tax? You will to go spend 35% more on gas or do you find the cheapest name brand?

BTW when did math become "super fancy"? Common Core?

0.043 per round w/o tax, shipped!

10 x ITEM: IK - 214246
1 x ITEM: IK - 461471

Total Round count 3330. Estimated Tax based on total purchase amount, not the discounted price $10.21 which should be 6.75% brings total to $156.02 or .0468 per round. Cheapest I've seen in I can't even start to remember.

The only way you get 6 cents a round is with no shipping and no sales tax. Ordering the two box per customer limit would run an $8.95 shipping charge and that breaks down to about 7-1/2 cents a round. Your best bet is to ship to store for local pickup.

These are only $70.00 at Lucky Gunner plus $15.58 shipping for delivered total of only $85.58. Lucky gunner the biggest price gouging pricks in the USA.

Bought this and the Remington for a bit over $50, with free shipping. Nevertheless, received a message at the end that the purchase may take a while to process.

Great price for great fishing tackle! I pull the bullets and use them as sinkers. Then, I pour all the unused gunpowder into a Dutch oven and flash fry any fish I catch. As an added bonus, the leftover shell casings can be fashioned into great handmade jewelry for my wife.

You can't lose!

Sorry Cabela's - it's too little, too late. You have taken too much of my money over the years and all the while treated me like dirt. I cant take it anymore and I've found somebody else who treats me with respect and doesnt get into my pockets so deep and their name is Gander Mountain. Take your b.s. ammo limits, high tax and shipping charges, and ever climbing prices and find somebody else. Have a good life.

Gander Cancels orders to . some things i do not buy from Cabela's or Gander if it is over my price per round limit. there are a lot of places that you can buy from .

Agree, this stuff is junk. Buy a box of rocks to throw instead.

I bought a box of this a few months back, would not cycle reliably. Tried in 10/22, Marlin 795, and Sig Mosquito. Dirty, dented rounds, loose bullets...don't bother. I had another box on order, luckily Cabela's let me return it at the customer service desk as soon as it came in since I never really received it.

No complaints on Cabela's.

I'm surprised cycling was the least of your worries. I've seen all sorts of issues loaded one round at a time out of bolt rifles in a youth event.

This stuff is garbage. Works poorly in my semi- automatics(M&P 15-22 & GSG 1911/22) so I decided to shoot it from my Marlin XT-22 bolt action and the cheap casings swell so much that about half of them would not eject. Least accurate ammo I own. Not worth the money at any price.

I bought a box of this a few months ago.Alot of the rounds had decent size dents in the bullet.I probably won't buy again. I'll stick to CCI!

I have had a order of this ammo on backorder since 10-8. I purchased some more on 10-22 and they shipped it. WTF. I have 4 backorders of this ammo still for October. Now we will see if they fill all of those backorders since it was back in stock. Anyone else having this problem with Cabelas lately?

Back orders are filled first before the ammo is listed in stock . they probably canceled your first orders. call them with the order number. if you have a account with them it should be listed in your order history . Cabelas canceled a order i had for Remington golden bullets said it was so many back orders they will not be able to fill my order next time it came in . well it came in 2 weeks latter and i ordered 1 box , 2 days later in stock again ordered 1 box . next week in stock again ordered 1 box .

You would think backorders are filled before the ammo becomes available, but it dont always work that way with cabelas.

These deals make me wonder...has anyone ever seen .22lr ammo in an actual Cabela's store? I know right where the .22lr shelf is at my local Cabela's and I'm in there at least once a week. I check the shelf every time I'm in there since they've opened and I've never seen a single box of .22lr.

Why don't they ship some of the ammo that I constantly get from deals on here to their stores? I guess it doesn't matter if it's going to sell out online in a few minutes and they can use that shelf space for other ammo, but it sure would be nice to able to buy .22lr from a brick and mortar store.

They keep them behind the gun counter at the Cabela's in Woodbury. they offer them to you if you buy a .22 gun. Try asking nicely at the gun counter next time your in. It's worth a shot.

the stores get their own shipments . the warehouse get their own shipments. these deals on the web are warehouse stock. . just like Gander Mountain. you see videos of 22 lr in a store people are buying and online nothing . for me i have no Cabelas or Gander Mountain store in my state so i have to buy online i have no choice

Gotta love Cabelas. They take my order then proceed to cancel it a couple of days later without notification.. When I call or email them they say, sorry there is nothing we can do. Cabelas, you are becoming a little slimy, heading towards Sportsman's Guide territory.

i have placed close to 50 or so, orders with Cabelas the last 16 months and only 2 orders were canceled due to to long of a back order list that the next shipment would not cover. i had back orders and they filled them few weeks later. now Gander Mountain realy is bad out of the 20 orders i placed with them 5 orders were canceled due to order limits . use to be 10 per day . then 5 per day . now it is 5 small boxes per day or 1 bulk pack per day , not each item. Gander Mountain is on the outs with me.

Look, I sold 2 50rd boxes for $5 yesterday to a coworker. I have .22 but how far do I deplete it. I'm just curious though, how long can this continue? I mean, is it possible we're in this for another year? Two years? Five years?
Empty pallet of Aguila .22 at Knob Creek. The price said $49.50/brick. Any/all ammunition of any other caliber (even Raufus .50 bmg) could be bought, albeit $60/rd. This is ridiculous.

one thing you have to look at you can't reload 22 lr ammo . rim fire . rim gets bent when the firing pin hit it. the manufactures make less profit in 22 lr, the machines have to work more up and down seating the bullets, so the manufactures controll the 22 lr . they ship when the get it made and cut production for the bigger cal. ammo .also when everyone stops buying the 22 lr at over .08 cents a round on gun bot.net or gunbroker.com then the resellers will not buy any 22 lr ammo, to resell. and that leaves the 22 lr left for the target shooters to buy.CCI mini mags sell for$7.99, $8.99 that's the .08 cents . Remington. Federal. Winchester is .05-.06 cents.

Had four boxes of 333 from Cabelas from holiday sales last year.. could not get this stuff to run though my Ruger SR22 or Marlin 795 at all. Both guns had problems feeding, shooting and ejecting. I had stovepipes, failure to feed, and a few duds that I had to push out with a cleaning rod. This is the only brand I've ever had a problem with in either gun. The SR22, oddly enough, loves the Remington golden bullets. Both guns shoot those, Thunderbolts, M22's, and Federal with no issue. I ended up selling off all the Winchester boxes.

Just my luck. I was looking at this very box on Cabelas not more than an hour before they posted these for sale--and I missed 'em when they became available.

Is Cabelas just toying with us?

POOR QUALITY CONTROL
The last time I recieved a box of Winchester 333 from cabelas it was wrapped in the bubble pack and appeared to be beat to hell. So I thought I'd count every round in the box. End up with 336 rounds in that smashed up box, probably the worst 22lr ammo CCI makes.

I bought this Winchester 22 lr 36 grain hollow point same as the white box 525 rounds the worse day i had at the range with this ammo .FTF,FTE,Stove pipes .the guns Ruger 10-22 and Ruger Mark 2 target pistol. were clean and oiled .half way threw the box had to stop shooting go out side and buy another box of 22 .CCI or Remington one of the two . the tip on these whinchester hollow points are fatter than the Remington,Federal,CCI, thats why the are bad,Winchester M-22 never had trouble with .Remington,Federal,CCI make good ammo at fair price wait for those to be in stock.maybe a bolt action rifle these you could use i don't know but automatic hand gun and rifles they are no good

Just got a couple of boxes of this stuff from Cabela's. I've never run into junk ammo before, but this is junk ammo. This batch fails to cycle in an m&p22 about 75% of the time. In my Marlin bolt-action, I couldn't even get about half of the rounds to chamber. The bullets look like they were hit on the tip with a hammer.

I'm not saying every box of this ammo sucks, but holy shit, I've never paid for such a faulty product in my life.

I had the same problem with my m&p. It would only cycle if I held it with a vice like grip. Not a fun way to shoot. Give me golden bullets!

I ordered myself a 555 pack last week, got it yesterday!
I just ordered a 333 pack! 7.8 cents a shell after shipping and tax is a bit more than I would normally get, but if you live close to a Cabelas, in store pick up will save you close to $6 total and drop the price per shell to about 6 cents a shell.

we have a local cabelas, so I drop ship them. It is a good price considering the lunacy that is going on now. We don't have bass pro or gander here so cabelas is my go to place. Now I will have the ammo for a match in a couple of weeks. It is what it is but this is ok with me.

I did it yesterday, and was about to do it again just now... 7.5 cents a round for 22. a year and a half ago this was easily 4 cents a rounds. and you could order tons at a time. this country is so f'd up on its ammo and gun laws. I'm not doing it! ef their 1 box limit at 7.5 cents a round. And I'm a damn club member too. If we can't get free shipping or a couple box vs 1, what's the use?

They have free shipping over $99 so I got this and some 9mm Horady critical defense that was on sale.
