Ad says Winchester. Box says Olin corporation. Why did they choose to put Olin on the box instead of Winchester?

Winchester is just a trademarked brand name. Winchester isn’t a company any more. Olin is the manufacturer that owns the Winchester name.

Right, but why choose to use the relatively unknown name of Olin instead of Winchester? Doesn't stand to reason.

Because it’s government contract ammo not intended for commercial sale. Government doesn’t care what brand it is. Just manufacturer and to what military standard it is made to, and contract or lot #.

No product under a government contract would ever say "military grade". The government already knows if a contract product is military grade because it will meet their parameters. That term is a marketing ploy to cheat naive idiots.

Agreed.

I have seen this ammo directly from the ASP and the packaging does not say that. And as the other commenter mentioned, it does not have the primer sealant.

Not government contract! It's just marketed to be cool looking.

US Military ammo is the same as Winchester super x buckshot only with red primer sealant... which this doesn't have.

So military grade is a bit of a stretch. Unless military grade means green hulls and brass painted black to anyone.
