Description

223 Rem 62 Grain OT Winchester DHS Purple Casing 1000 Rounds - This 223 Rem ammo is from a government contract overrun, and the purple case is used by the government agencies to quickly identify that their agents are training with the appropriate ammo. Also, if you also own a purple AR-15, you’ve pretty much got to have it, and we know that purple AR-15s are all the rage these days. They’re big among Prince fans and people who like to hunt in wine country.

Is purple brass really worth a $0.05 per round premium over XM193?

Ok I'm in for 2k. This is kinda a collector item and definitely going to get some comments. Purple used to be the color of royalty, I hope I didn't royally fuck myself with crap ammo but but for non steel 62gr this isn't a bad price

Most reviews of this stuff over the past 5 years indicate that it's OK ammo, if a bit dirty, but it's NOT to be confused with self-defense grade ammo. Apparently faulty primers and erratic patterns aren't uncommon. Good for plinking and good for collecting, I'd bet.

Will this ammo run in a regular magazine or do you have to buy sand pmags and dye them purple?
Also, does anyone know of a second hand store where I can find a raspberry beret?

I believe they can be any color as long as they identify as purple.
