I literally just bought 2 boxes of this same ammo at my local Academy store for $17 a box. There is no justification for charging $22 a box more PLUS shipping. This is price gouging at its finest.

Just bought a case from Natchez for $550, 55¢ per round, more like 62¢ per round after shipping and tax. What the fuck are these crooks at Lame Losers smoking?

Damn pretty soon ammo will be worth bit coins at these prices.

Everyone needs to stop buying this crap.
Prices are slowly starting to decline and this isn't helping things. Putting pressure on retail chains and scalpers will make the prices drop, ammo is already getting back into circulation. Cut back on shooting, or stop sitting on your piles of ammo and sweat these guys out

When walmart clearanced out handgun ammo I bought 150 packs of these for 13 bucks lol

Quit yer shit. This ammo has never been below 17cpr and never sold in 150 round "packs". You bought the Winchester white box bulk packs, likely for about 16cpr + tax. Before the shit started this ammo was between 19-21 cpr from online retailers. The lowest price of 17cpr no tax or shipping was a unicorn.

FU. I still have a crapload of Perfecta. 9mm and 45. $3.00 for a box of 50. Bought Perfecta .223 for $5.00 for 50 count. Don't tell me Walmart didn't have sales and that you personally know what every store sold them for. And yes, Walmart sold these https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=165657742... And re-read his post. He said he bought 150 packs of these. Not a 150 pack. And since WM sold these for MSRP: $13.94 a box, why is $13 so unreasonable that you need to flat out call the guy a liar?

Before covid I used to see this exact box of ammo on sale for 10 bucks each at Blaines farm and fleet. Usually every other month they would run that sale.

So 20cpr before tax, on sale

When Walmart clearance out i was paying $30 for 200 round boxes.. but that's 15 cents not 9 cents like that other guy was claiming

He likely did get them for 8-9 cents per round. I got a ton for the same price. $17 for 200 round packs. Also got federal and Winchester 223 and 5.56 for 15 to 20 cents. It’s irrelevant now though. This market is totally different and we likely will never see those prices again

Yes, and again those were likely WWB bulk packs not 124gr NATO. 15cpr + tax at Wally world on clearance is about right. I picked up quite a lot of "assault" PDX during that Marx sale.

I don't think he is lying at all; the WM's near me ran massive clearance sales on handgun and "assault rifle" ammo when corporate decided to stop selling those categories of ammunition. I would have bought enough to last me several lifetimes but most WM's were still running limits on the number of boxes you could buy per day.

The funny part is they still sell semi auto black gun rifle ammo and dont even realize it. I just picked up 5 boxes of 350. Corporate shills catering to cancel culture obviously dont have a clue about what they propagandize as long as they look woke.

Price gouging by retailers and manufacturers dialed up to 11

Like FowlKiller said; Just don;t buy for now. When sales dry up enough, the prices will return to pre-covid levels

9mm FMJ has been 25c a round and they make a killing on that as Tula 9mm 115GR FMJ ran abt 14-18c a round.

Current prices on AmmoSeek - 59c for Tula is plain unacceptable.

they can GFT

PLEASE DO NOT SETTLE FOR THIS AND BUY INTO THIS CRAP. These prices are inflated 300-400% on average and I see people critical of taxes and shipping. Unbelievable. The only way we will see a reduction in pricing on ammo is through a collective effort of not paying these insanely high prices. But as long as we have folks ready and willing to pay 400% over market price, we will never see a $.25 round again.

That should be passed on every message board and Facebook post from all gun owners.
I would buy a box or two of .22, 9mm, 45, 5.56 or 12 guage each time I went into a store that sold ammo. Not all 5 calibers at once but a box of whichever was the best deal.. years of me buying a box here and a box there have left me sitting pretty good shape now. I shot some but saved most boxes and I still have a closet full
Unless you just have to have it, then stop buying over priced ammo or this will be the new normal.

People need to just stop buying any ammo fo awhile, otherwise the prices may never get back to normal.

If you are willing to pay 60 cents a round, what motivation do they have to lower the price to 20 cents a round? Your right, let the shelves get full and the ammo sit. We'll get back to reasonable prices. The Remington ammo factory in Kentucky is starting back up. That will increase the supply.

Not necessarily. New manufacturers might be inticed to enter the market, eventually saturating the market and hopefully returning prices to a lower normal. One can only hope.

When the next guy is selling them for 90cpr and 20 bucks in fees, 80cpr sounds pretty sweet. Relatively speaking.

Are these the last 9mm rounds on earth? If so that would explain why these are so over priced
