Might as well add a $20 fee to shake your dick after peeing too. Hard pass

I am seeing a $20 Hazmat fee. Never had that assessed for ammo before with Cabelas. Hard Pass.

Yup. That's what I did, + used discounted gift cards to buy. Final cost was <.17/round

This is a good deal if you buy through ActiveJunky.com. The 10 percent cash back at Cabela's brings your total to $99.41 for 500 rounds.

On the face of it, not a great deal, but my final cost will be 16.8/round shipped to my door. Works out for me!

Why would people buy Winchester ammo when it's consistently more expensive than a lot of other major brands? PMC, Remington, Sellier and Bellot, and Geco can all be bought for less.

sweet deal was when these were 21 for 100 but its still not bad especially if you live somewhere where Walmart has neckbeards for each caliber....

If your from Illinois, you might want to shop elsewhere. CAN NOT order on line. MUST call the Customer Service line to order, every time. I just tried, was on hold for 30 minutes. Have to speak to customer rep, give him your CC number. Illinois sucks.

400 rounds shipped to my door for $85.36 that's .21 cents a round delivered need I say more! Freedommunitions got me for 1000 rounds at .19 cents a round delivered, cyber Monday sale and all. I had to grab 400 here just to say I got a deal and it is. Thanks.

$10.67 a box of 50 (2x50/100) delivered. Can't beat it. They got me stocking the UMC and Fiocci already. Trying to restrain but it hard. I will wish I have these when they go to $16 a box or higher when the next event sets off the craze.

4 boxes of 100 delivered, no tax in my state $85.36. Keep an eye out. Look at the date on this post. They are doing right the last few days but it goes FAST.

They got me again for 400 rounds

I already got 900 of remington from them at .19 shipped and another 500 from freedoms the same price. Now tempted to get this 400 round deal, even is not .19, but .21 shipped is pretty good too.

$27.67 for this identical ammo at WalMart Supercenter on Campbell Lane in Bowling Green, KY. No shortage of supply on the shelf. You may want to shop locally on this one.

Even cheaper here in the high plains unless you counted tax. Even UMC 250 bulk packs of .40, .45 & 9mm sitting on the shelves. Ignore the Cabela's corporate trolls, profiteers, and those who choose to live in slave states. Fortunately, you can find better deals locally or via these ammo bots, but I would rather buy reman. ammo than shop at a Cabela's under their new management...

What do you do if all the walmarts in your state donnot sell ammo.think about that .Cabelas has been great for me .shippedto my door because donnot even have a cabelas in my state also .

I paid $26.10/box shipped thru Cabela's.
Sounds like Wal-Mart ripped you off.
Was that pre or post tax and gas to get there?

Cabelas' ammo has no business on this website. I look forward to the day their "deals" get banned here.

That'll never happen my friend.

Last year Cabelas and I didn't see eye to eye and I cancelled my Cabelas visa club nonsense and never looked back, the Rep was glad to tell me say good by to my points; like I care about that..

I do however place an order with them from time to time on deep discount items I know they're losing money on.

Heck just last week I ordered a shoulder type of conceal carry bag for $9 shipped from Cabelas, one of those crazy deals right after Black Friday.

When the bag arrived I was surprised it actually was a good bag, fairly adequate concealed zipper section, big enough for my USP full frame, has a mag external holder, cell phone pocket, dry bag in main compartment and metal clips.

What always matters the most with cheap bags is the zipper, and this one is better than average.

So...

I got a pistol bag, Cabelas lost money. It's a win/win :)

PS, there's no chance I'm wearing a 'murse' bag in public, but it's a good range bag for days I just want to go light.

For you, 4 boxes shipped to your door is $119.96?
For me, I paid with a gift card I purchased for 13% off online which brought my total to $104.37 shipped.
This deal should be banned??
Will one of you Cabela's bashers please send me a link where I can get 400 rounds of 9mm (no steel) shipped to my front door for under $104.

Freedom Munitions was just selling $0.22 a round for 9mm brass ammo shipped to your door. So that would be $39.96 cheaper than what you paid. I personally picked up 2000 rounds for $450 shipped. Or $22.50 per 100 rounds shipped to my house also known as 8 cents cheaper per round than your dirty Winchester ammo.

I used to like freedom but last summer when they raised the price of 9mm to $17+ a box I decided to quit supporting them.

Cabelas hands down has the highest prices on ammo right now. Was in store friday and they had thousands & thousands of rounds of ammo on the shelves... still high prices. 1,000 round boxes of 9mm were 347.00 before tax & 1,000 round cases of .223 were 497.00 before tax.

Gun prices there are insane too. They had at least 150 ARs on the wall racks and the cheapest one was a Bushmaster C15 w/ cheap ass red dot for 917.00 before tax.

They need a CTD message sent to them.

Cabelas & Wal- mart both have reported large losses the last quarter of last year & the first of this year. They are simply making people who are still buying ammo make up for all the ones who aren't now. It's a very shady practice...

Totally wrong and not true in my market. I have a Cabelas, Gander Mountain, Dicks, Academy, Bass Pro, WalMart, etc...etc...etc...in my area and Cabelas is not the Highest. Walmart is more expensive...freakin Walmart. Walk into any one of these other stores and you will see why Cabelas is more reasonably priced, especially when certain calibers are on sale. I will never walk into Gander Mountain ever again for anything and if you think Cabelas Rifles are overpriced you would have a heart attack at Gander Mountain and the others. The median for 9mm plinking ammo like this has been about .28 cents a round for the last 6 months as far as I have been seeing. This is .29 cents. Have some people found some cheaper in larger bulks? Sure, but the median has been .28 cents. And to be more on point this is not a "SALE" price. This is their regular retail shelf price at no discount so I am not sure why it is even listed on this site.

I'm not seeing much of a difference between Walmart and Cabelas honestly. This ammo is a $1 cheaper but it's not in stock and by buying discounted gift cards I can go cheaper at Cabela's. Gander Mountain is only good for a laugh.

I was in Cabelas this weekend and they a good stock of AR's starting at ~$500. That DPMS Oracle with free scope mount, $100 off a scope and a $50 gift card for ~$540 was tempting me.

Wal-mart has raised their prices here too but cabelas has out done them by far. I bought a box of this at my loccal wal-mart for 23.99 before tax.

They are as high as anyone here, 28.99 today and they had a few boxes. First I've seen in a while. Academy and GT Distributor's is the best options here but stock is hit or miss.

I don't doubt it. I was speaking of my market. Some will be cheaper and some will be more expensive dependent on geographical location. My Walmarts are more expensive not to mention they don't have many calibers in stock regularly and impose box limits. Its a crap shoot whenever I go there. Right now they have a 1,000 round ammo can of no name brand 223 for .55 cents a round. Overpriced? Way. They can keep the ammo can. I could care less about it.

You think 29.99 is bad? The piece of shit Gander Mountain by here has them for 39.99 + tax. It's all sitting there because no one wants to buy it from these fuckers at that price.

Remember, not everyone has a Walmart that sells ammo. Just because it's not a good deal to you, doesn't mean it isn't a good deal for someone else. People are here from all across the country. NOW WHERES MY REMINGTON 22LR SUBSONIC!!! (Really, if you know, please help me)

Agreed, our stores sell ammo and are roughly thesa me prices as Cabelas. I can drive about an hour to a few surrounding small towns and beat these prices but at $3 a gallon why bother. I think it's hilarious how many suggest I boycott Cabela's and shop at Walmart for ethical (gouging) reasons.

your math is wrong. You did not factor in cost of gift card.
And my Prius can probably hold as much if not more ammo boxes than your little track. But that is OK. Some people need little tracks and some people need Prius to feel like "man"

2 votes
4 votes

My "track" is diesel. They do not make them small.
But do please help me with my math below.
You can buy a $90 gift card shipped for $79 and use it to buy ammo at Cabelas (sometimes even $76).
This makes this 3 boxes cheaper at Cableas and more expensive at walmart.
Hope you continue to buy at walmart and leave my gift cards alone.

2 votes
3 votes

If you want them to hear the message boycott them as CTD website.

Let me repeat again. I keep buying this for $26.67 per box in local Walmart, $28.57 with local tax. Still cheaper and no shipment involved. I avoid Cabela's since they are overpriced.

the local walmart's and all the walmarts in my state do not even sell ammo.just local gun store and range i donnot even have a cabelas or gander mountain here just dick's sporting goods 15 miles away i get it shipped to me.everyone always talk about walmart .when you local store closes and walmart raise their prices what are you going to do .why are you even looking on slick guns any how just go to your walmart

2 votes
1 vote

Rarely in stock at my walmart and the limit is 3 boxes.
Wish there were less gun owners near me.
You are complaining over $2 per 100 rounds. For me this is cheaper.
Diesel is $3.79 in CO and my truck gets 15 mi/gallon.
Trip to Walmart and back would cost me $7.
I'd rather have them dropped off at my front door.

5 votes
2 votes

We have different reference point. My Walmart has it at least twice a month and even limit is 3, I bought 600 rounds this month.
As for price of fuel, buy Toyota Prius and price of your trip will go down.

2 votes
7 votes

My Prius can only hold Two 100 round boxes of ammo. Have to bring my truck to get three.
Anyhow, I'll give you my secret called being internet savvy.
You figured out the first part, use gun.deals
Next, go to any gift card reseller website and buy a Cabelas card for around 12% off, 15% if your lucky.
Go to the Cabelas website and buy 9mm for $29.99/box.
Pay with your gift card and magically it only costs $26.40/box.
Or keep paying $28.57 at Walmart and feel like you are getting a great deal and Cabelas is a rip off.

With the retirement of Dick Cabela, the new management has doubled down on their recent tradition of price gouging. The customer is no longer king with this bunch and their comrades at CTD, Dick's, and Natchez. Better to feed your local Wallymart and gun shops.

This with local tax is close to what you could buy it for on backpage during the panic. lol
