I’ve bought 3 so far. Have not had any issues with this company. Order arrives so quickly, dealer calls me that he has received my item….. will be shopping again @CTD

It looked like a decent price for something a little on the “high end”. Then when I saw who from…. Nope.

Be careful cheaper than dirt may have scammers working at their company. I bought some lowers that would have gone to an FFL and they wanted me to give them a picture of my state DL... not the number, an actual picture of the license... like I'm going to give them a pic they can modify and scam people with or what ever... THAT is so suspicious sh%t right there!!!

$65 for this is more like it. I saw someone on gunbroker selling the completed versions of these with A2 grips, moe stocks, and cheap LPKs for $400. I wonder how many ignorant noobs he’s suckered in on that deal.

So is it $10 or $15.99 'handling fee?' Says $10 above but both the description and site says $15.99. Then ya gotta add sales tax. Then add whatever your FFL charges to handle your application. After the major gouge CTD put on everyone a few years ago it's not just no, but HELL NO!.

It’s CTD.
Please, do not give them a dime.
They need to go out of business.
The fact that they are still around and people share their ‘deal’ here show people didn’t get the memo.

For those who don’t know :
They are the first the raise they price to insanity at every media coverage of a mass shooting.
No shame for them to go from $300 a case of 5.56 to $1000 overnight.
Same for 30rds PMag, they went from $10 to $100 each !

Do you research, check on YouTube.

Do not give them your money, share the words.

Yep, I was in their store the day before sandy hook. $11 pmags. Next day, $60 pmags. I live in fort worth, the last time I was stationed here they had a store at 820&35W, it doesnt appear to be there anymore.

Remember Sandy Hook? The day before the shooting I was in their Fort Worth headquarters store. $11 Pmags. The day of the shooting, within hours, those same mags were $60+.

During the time I like the call the Obama reign of terror, there was a similar run on gums and ammo like what we saw during the early stages of the pandemic after the Sandy hook shooting. Obama was going after the second amendment and ar-15s. CTD price gouged hardcore and cancelled people's orders and said of they wanted the product they'd have to pay the new price. They are a bunch of A holes.

When specifically was Obama going after the 2nd amendment and AR-15s? And what exactly was he doing to go after them? Not a supporter of his, but the current idiot in charge has introduced more anti-gun legislation than anyone in recent memory. Why no price gouging from CTD now? (Not a fan of CTD either)

Obama pushed *really* hard for a new AWB, plus Operation Fast & Furious, which was an expansion of a Bush era operation Wide Receiver.

Obama even cried on national TV when when they failed to pass sweeping new bans.

I think we don't have a current panic because Biden is less competent, with less popular support, and less chance of getting that kind of legislation through the House. Oh, and plus the current direction of SCOTUS.

Mr. Obama and Mr. Holder were accused of dispatching their personal representatives to a plethora of Arizona (and possibly Texas and New Mexico) gun shops to buy AR-15s and other modern sporting rifles. They then caused them to be delivered to their Mexican points of contact. Shortly thereafter, these rifles were being recovered at record rates at various crime scenes. One was used to assassinate a uniformed Customs and Border Patrol officer. The goal was getting the AR-15 banned and, by extension weakening Article II of the Bill of Rights.

I want to say it was "Operation Fast and Furious", but I am not certain that was the name. I do know it was referred to as "gun walking" (as opposed to "gun running") by some.

Roughly $30 premium for the WC rollmark over a PSA. For some, good deal. For others, not worth it.

2 votes
0 votes

That’s total bolshevik. The fit and finish of WC is on par with custom lowers. Don’t knock on the price without knowing or personally reviewing the item. To think WC is on par with Anderson or PSA is downright false. To actually claim that it’s a generic lower with roll marks is totally ignorant. Don’t deter someone from a dream build, piece by piece because you don’t agree with the price. I agree with others, if you see any sale from CTD, look elsewhere. Gun community doesn’t tolerate traitors.

Dude, this isn’t a premium billet WC lower, this is their forged mil-spec version. It’s built to the exact same specs as any forged Anderson, PSA, DPMS, or Aero lower. Wouldn’t surprise me if they all came out of the same factory. These forged lowers are all basically the same, other than the logo on the side. If you’re going with a forged mil-spec lower, it’ll come down to how much you’re willing pay for that logo on the side, but you’re essentially getting the same stripped lower.

Can you read, Friend? Judging by the fact that you’re able to compose your thoughts about things you imagined that I wrote, I assume you can.

Please re-read what I WROTE and stop trying to insert what you imagine my intent to be.

For the record, I have a completely custom 350 Legend Wilson Combat Recon with the billet receivers that is my primary hunting weapon, and I have MANY other WC parts on my firearms. - INCLUDING this exact lower receiver in a complete receiver set.

And I’m all ears on what makes this lower receiver so much better than an equivalent one from a low-mid tier RELIABLE manufacturer. It would be beneficial for the wide open community to hear YOUR personal experience in comparing this exact receiver with ones from PSA, Anderson, Colt, LMT, LWRC, DPMS, Bushmaster, FN, and straight from Cerro Forge…

Know what? I don’t need to wait. Because you haven’t.

But I have. Personally. Myself. And - aside from forged lower receivers featuring ambi controls, the roll mark (market value and resale), and the finish - there is literally NO fucking difference other than how it makes you feel.

That doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s worth a $30 premium. The finish and roll mark matter to me. But to say that this receiver has any merit of performance difference over any of the others I just mentioned above demonstrates your ignorance and deferment to the internet echochamber.

You did notice the seller is Cheaper than Dirt......right ?

3 votes
0 votes

I did see that, yes. And I wouldn’t personally give them a penny either. But that’s me. Not others.

Looking at the price independently of the vendor, it’s a $30 premium for the roll mark. It’s a lower receiver that is the same specification as a PSA or Anderson lower receiver. But for some people, the WC roll mark is worth $30 to them.

I’m not here to judge people’s decisions to buy what they want to buy or where they want to buy from. I’m here for the deals and to offer hopefully unbiased and constructive input that helps others make their own decision.

Would I buy this at this price and from this vendor? No. But if you decide to buy one or more for your own reasons, good for you. Enjoy your receiver.
