PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Walther 2685213: The Carl Walther armory is undoubtedly known worldwide thanks to its iconic pistols and has been utilized by police agencies and military units around the globe. This PPS is a flat, compact pistol designed for deep-conceal and everyday carry and self-defense. It is equipped with a double-sided cradle tank drain integrated into the lower part of the bow. The frame is polymer, equipped with a Picatinny/Weaver rail, perfect for mounting tactical accessories of your choosing. This pistol offers a unique shape thanks to its robust steel breach optimized by a Tenifer surface finish providing shooters with an easy-to-use grip profile. The pistol comes with one interchangeable backstrap and two magazines with a capacity of 6 and 7 rounds. The shortest magazine has a flat bottom and does not increase the contour of the pistol. In contrast, the extended magazine improves the grip of the pistol. The sights are made of steel, highlighted by three white dots. One of the most notable features of the PPS pistol is the patented safety system, in which the trigger mechanism is deactivated after removing the exchangeable backstrap. This function can serve as a reliable child lock.

A revolutionary yet practical concept. Delivering the premier concealed carry option with unprecedented accuracy and comfortability, capable of withstanding anything thrown in its way.

Upon its release, the PPS series transformed the industry by introducing a polymer single-stack concealed carry pistol, effectively establishing a trend that remains popular still today. The PPS is a more refined version of that original design, now measuring only 1” thick! It is the ultimate representation of Walther’s world-renowned performance catered to the expectations of the modern shooter. The thin, yet comfortably full frame provides the most grip surface in its class, allowing ample room for off-hand support. More grip surface provides significantly improved recoil management when combined with the higher grip supplied by the undercut trigger guard.

The secret to the accuracy of the PPS results from the legendary Walther barrel and an internal steel chassis that provides superior slide-to-frame fit. These features make the PPS the most accurate, controllable, and concealable handgun available on the market. Often imitated, but never duplicated, the PPS series is designed to exceed every expectation and deliver the absolute best shooting experience possible.

Do they still make these?

I don't think so, Cole982. When the PPS M2 came out with the push button mag release Walther continued making this original PPS with the euro style paddle mag release for a while and started referring to it as the PPS M1 Classic. The only mention of this original M1 Classic I see on Walther's website is for this mag that fits it. https://waltherarms.com/ppsm1-classic-9mm-7-round/... - It looks like sellers have jacked-up their prices for the remaining "Classics" they have in stock. The seller here on this gundeals page is offering the Walther PPS M2 LE edition that comes with phosphoric night sights and 3 mags for less than they're offering the "M1 Classic" for. - https://www.classicfirearms.com/walther-pps-m2-9mm-le-ed-2807696/... (I've seen the M2 LE edition offered for less elsewhere) One version of PPS M2 includes a Holosun 507k RD.... it shows as OOS here but you can take a look at it and get an idea of the cost if you'd like: https://firearmsdepot.com/walther-arms-pps-wal-2854708-pps-m2-9mm-holosun-507k/... - I've read rumors about Walther working on bringing a higher capacity double stack PPS to market to compete with other similar double stack sub-compacts. Sounds like a good idea to me, but at this point it's just a rumor.

I’d sure like to see a double stack microcompact from Walther. I’m sold on their PPQ line and have owned 2 of them, I’ve also owned a P99 and currently own a PDP full 4.5.

I've owned a PPS for at least 10 years and still carry it today in a Detroit Holster John R pocket holster (highly recommended). I agree on paper there are better options (higher capacity, optics cuts, etc.), but this gun is outstanding. Great trigger and never a failure in all this time.

Cool gun, but mags are pricey. If the back strap breaks it's a paper weight. The m2 is a better choice but both are outdated.

I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THE BACK STRAP BREAKING AND LEAVING THE GUN USELESS.
IF YOU HAVE, LET EVERYONE KNOW.
ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS ADD GRIP TAPE AND YOU CAN STOP WORRYING ABOUT A NON-PROBLEM.

Yeah I know it’s a good pistol I have owned the gym to but there’s ones that certainly beat it today for less money than this outdated design.

Even the second generation is only 399
