It was only a little over a year ago gunbuyer.com was selling the PPS for $289

I really enjoyed carrying this gun....... Until the phosphorus painted dots fell out. First left rear..... Then right rear. Only one that is still secure is the front. Luckily it happened at home and I was able to find the dot, but had it happen on the range they would be gone.

It appears that the sights are painted on some kind of foam material and then friction fit into the dots on the sight. Maybe Walther does not expect the slide to reciprocate with enough force to justify an adhesive.

This also happened to me, comrade. First one fell out at home and I superglued it back into place. The second time it did, indeed, fall out at the range and impossible to find. Walther USA was very good in sending me brand new rear sights, but still. FWIW, a new Sig P365 has since replaced the PPS as my EDC pistol.

Exactly, great gun...in 2014. So many better options in 2020 with double the capacity.

The full length rails does allow this track nicely I will say though. And the single stack grip is one of the best feeling most ergonomic guns STILL.

Bought this on Sept 29 and had it at my FFL (in Arizona) on October 3rd. Everything as described with three mags and gun in perfect condition. Cannot beat the service. Will repeat from Gunbuyer.com again. Thanks so much for an excellent transaction and buying experience!

Own a P99 AS and love it. That said, for a compact, I'll stick with my Ruger SR9C, it's pretty much the perfect carry gun for me and 10 +1.

I just picked mine up yesterday. I have not fired it as of yet, but I like the way it feels in my hand. Somehow I have ended up with almost all the single stacks. GEEZ....what have I done....LOL

I'm paying the same here in Virginia, Comrade, but i shopped around. I think that the going rate is $30. Sic semper tyrannis!

just got mine and its awesome. however i have to agree with aviatorgm.. the phosphoric sights suck.. and i will be changing them. better to get the non-le edition and save 40 or 50 bux.

PHOSPHORIC Night Sights are a joke. Okay everybody, let's hold a flashlight to our pistol sights for 20 seconds so that we can stalk that guy who just shot you between your eyes with his tritium sights while you were "charging" yours. Gay

IMO, I cannot see any real advantage to buying the LE version. I do not want phosphorus sites. I would just switch them out for TFX's. I would probably never use the 8 rd mag except at range. I would rather buy my own sites and a couple extra 7rd mags.

Silly comment. Different size guns for different roles.

That's like telling someone looking at a Glock 43 to spend a little more and get the Glock 17.

But you have a choice,,,,,,,,,,,,,,don't you?

Just shot this today side by with the G43. Although the G43 was reliable and consistent on accuracey the PPS M2 did indeed "kill it" over the Glock. From the very first shot this thing was like a laser. I heard this was true of the M1, but based on reviews of the M2 I was expecting a less stellar performamce. No ftf/fte. With about 50 rounds through it right out of the box I was unexpectedly impressed.
I shot the non L/E edition. These are just now hitting local stores nationwide. Buy locally for around $399.99 depending on your market/tax. Save the FFL transfers fee.

The only difference between the M1 and M2 is the magazine release.

According to Walther's own website, the PPS M2 Limited Edition 9mm with Night Sights 2807696 comes with a 6 round, 7 round, and 8 round magazine. I will confirm this first hand in a week or so when I pick the 2807696 up.

Yes, you are definitely incorrect. I'm looking at three magazines right now. You must have thought it was the non L.E. version.

Going by GunBuyer's website, 2807696 comes with 3 magazines. I'm expecting 6, 7 & 8 round magazines. What did you actually receive? I'm in for one.

This has phosphorus night sights that need to be "charged" by a light, unlike Trijicons. Kind of a drag but this "LE" model is supposed to come with 3 magazines. It's a good deal.
