I just love reading these gun.deals comments
Hey Worm, I have now another 600 rounds through my ppq m1 since my last post. MY gun is still fine. Still. ,,,
Nobody cares about you or your ugly ass gun and the 50,000 rounds you have run through it.
Have one. Trigger is nice. Mostly a light trigger pull, with no wall. Has about 10% more muzzle flip than a glock. Million times better than a TP9sf elite that copied it's internals.
Over hyped and over priced. The trigger, the trigger bla, bla, bla. Let's tell the truth the guns a good gun but the grip texture is weird and it's freakin ugly. Cant help it I like cool looking guns that work. H&K made a 2.0 PPQ and now it cost the same. This gun is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY overpriced.
I think we will see these down to $350 AR.
I'll be purchasing one then.
Lets....call you a douche. Pitting problem? My m1 is just fine. 2000+ rounds going strong.
how about going over to the Walther forums and checking it out. There is a 40+ page discussion on it, as well as quite a few other threads on the walther forums chronicling it. It's one of the stickies in the general PPQ thread . Multiple people, multiple issues. If you have an "older" model before about 2016 mfg date then you won't have it. The problem happened once Walther switched over from traditional rifling to the polyganally rifled barrels around 2016 beginning. Glock had this problem too when they were using the "tennifer" coating (which is basically another word for nitride/melonite) and had quite a few issues before switching away from it. So far Walther has not acknowledged it or changed processes that we know of, so you still have a chance of getting the pitting problems TO DATE (last known report of a new one having these issues was about 30 days ago)
don'f forget that the PPQ is still suffering from an ongoing barrel pitting problem that hasn't been fixed as of yet.
Your comments are the first I had heard. So, I did a quick bit of research. I see (2) folks who have reported pitted barrels. (Their posts were dated 2016) I can't speak for them, but my M1 purchased about a year ago has any pitting. (probably 1k through the pipe so far).
Quite a few Q's out there,,, Hard to say if this is truly something to be concerned about or just a freak rarity... Dunno, but as the owner of (2) Walthers, I would not hesitate to buy another.
As always, YMMV
check out the Walther forums.. there's a 40+ page discussion of people getting them, people getting replacements that pitted within 300 rounds and some people getting MULTIPLE replacements. A poll was done of how many people had a pitted barrel vs. didn't and it came p about 25% of them did
not saying not to take a change (for $379 I sure would), but something to keep in mind
sure would've loved this rebate 2 weeks ago when i purchased one! grrrrrr
100 rebate. Great, now I have to get one
Mine were two separate orders two weeks apart and days, almost a week after each order they were cancelled.
I order two gun from this company in April both times after they took my money they sent me a message saying the gun was out of stock. I ordered the guns within minutes of them being posted on this site. Anyone else have this problem.
I ordered two pistols from them on March 6th and picked them up at FFL on March 14th.
Feels like the pistols were merely drop shipped from the distributor/importer to my FFL instead of actually shipped form wherever gun buyer is..

That may be with regards to liberty. Have you seen the pentration tests though?
Response to Gym's post from 10-29? Ive tested Liberty in 9mm and .45 quite a bit. The barrier penetration and reliable fragmentation at close range are sexy but having only a 20gr bullet fragment penetrate beyond 5" is a huge turn off.
I just took this pistol to the range for the 4-5 time since middle March and just want to reiterate what an awesome gun it is. Fun to shoot at 25yrds and know where the bullet is gonna hit before firing.
Am I the only person who believes it's only a matter of time before the PPQ is the undisputed champion of poly 9mm's?
I have a lot of striker fired guns, 45 years of carrying, and this is all you need really, I have 3 small pocket guns in 9mm, but when something goes bump in the night, I reach for this with a light on it.
Here is a tip, get that Liberty aluminum ammo it is 1/3 of the weight and moves at 2000FPS, you won't know the gun is loaded.
I got an M2 LEO with 3 mags for 518 last week, and love it. It was a toss up, but the PPQ just has a faster reset than the VP9, and can be fired faster with less effort. It also feels smaller, and holds the same # of rounds. At that price with 3 mags, I had to buy it. This is the handgun you want if you are a pistol freak,.
I started with revolvers some 55 years ago and have carried for 45 years, this is the one you take when the SHTF.
And I have many pistolas.
Great deal! Especially with that free shipping too... Wish I had waited in buying mine last month. :P
For those who don't know the PPX has a 3 piece barrel and a one sided slide release. The PPQ has a single piece barrel, ambi-slide release, reversible mag release and better ergonomics. I've owned both, enjoyed both but the PPQ is the better gun with a better trigger.
I don't know about you, but what I see is a striker-fired PPX. Same trigger. Same lack of a decocker and external safety. A DAO PPQ M2 does not interest me in the least.
I love the PPX & have shot the regular & threaded many times.Great trigger, accurate & feel.I also own the PPQ Navy & just shot the PPQ 5 inch today.I could agree that there are some comparisons of course but they are in no way the same gun.Lighter weight, more accurate, thinner slide, better grip, better balance, better trigger & better finish.Double taps are rediculous with this gun.Just ask my buddy who has been shooting for 30-40 years. He loves his PPx's but we (he)were gitty today w/ that PPQ 5 inch.BTW I will be buying a PPx threadedOne of the best values out there IMO.
so pissed paid a lot more for my gun. ┌∩┐(⋟﹏⋞)┌∩┐ Local guns shops
This is the best trigger on any gun I've ever shot. Every review I read gives it the edge over the VP9 which is a quality gun also.
umm, the PPQ came out before the VP9.
As an owner of both, the VP9 is basically a copy of the PPQ but only 95% as good.
Um, no. Saying the VP9 is basically a copy of the PPQ is like saying the PPQ is basically a copy of a Glock (which we all know is ridiculous). There are actually several differences between the VP9 and PPQ if you know what you're looking at and for. As for which one is better (the PPQ or VP9), I'm not going to enter into that debate. As an owner of both, all I can say is I wouldn't sell either!!!
As an ambidextrous person, I would not call the PPQ [M1 or M2] a copy of any Glock I own. The controls between PPQ/VP9 are far more similar than PPQ/Glock. Anyway.............
Control wise, I agree 100%. The PPQ and VP9 are very similar.
On a new topic, which do you prefer...the M1 (EU style paddle magazine release) or the M2, with the traditional US magazine release? For me, it took a bit of getting use to, but I have come to truly appreciate the M1 style release. It's easy to reach (particularly for ladies or those with smaller hands), quite intuitive once you get the hang of it, and doesn't force me to break my grip or point the gun in an odd direction during reload. Any other thoughts or opinions on the subject?
The paddle mag release is kind of like the metric system. Great if you grow up with it. LOL. If not the mag button release is hard to beat.
This sentiment seems to be shared by many. The trigger on the PPQ giving it the edge. I was bad wanting the VP9 and still may buy one but by hearing all these other people say the same as you the M2 may just be the one to stick with. Not much since in spending the money unless you just want to say you have a VP9. This is a really good buy right here on this gun too by the way.
So is this the VP9.... only Walther's model
