To clarify, all Walther BRANDED .22s use a zinc alloy frame.

Every .22 Walther males is die cast zinc.

Actually Walther doesn't currently build any .22's. The Walther PPK .22, P22, PPQ .22, (Walther) Colt m4 , (Walther) HK 416, (Walther) HK G36, (Walther) Uzi, Walther) MP5, & a couple others, as well as the PK380 are all 100% built by Umarex. I love Walther guns and own several, but none of the above come anywhere close to representing the actual quality of a genuine Walther.

Actually, that's not accurate. Umarex USA is the licensed importer of the HK 416, MP5 and Colt M4 reproductions in .22LR which are all engineered and built in Germany by Walther, and are covered by their limited lifetime warranty. I should know, I own the pistol version of the HK 416. That gun is also not made of cast zinc, it is aluminum.

You should do some more thorough research. I am well aware that Umarex and Walther are of the same, and that Umarex is importer. I am also well aware of what there packaging and advertisements state. I believe all the Walther/Umarex clones are similar with similar packaging. The clones are Engineered by Walther and are also warrantied by Walther but thats it. They are indeed 100% built by Umarex I purchased the P22 and the HK 416 for my son and am familiar with the build quality and materials of both. They are both fun but certainly not the same quality of a genuine Walther firearm. I also own a PPK .380, P99AS 9mm, PPS .40, PPQ 9mm, PPQ .45

All the "research" I need to do is simply look at the stamped markings on the receiver of my HK416 pistol. Right there it says: "MADE BY CARL WALTHER GERMANY" and "US IMPORTER UMAREX USA"

Doesn't get much clearer than that.

FYI -- Per Walther's own website, the frames and slides on these are zinc diecast

If only it was threaded barrel.

Though, I would have been pissed since I just bought a threaded barrel one for more.

Get ready to be pissed, then. This is threaded (although you'll need to buy the adapter to be able to attach anything to it)

I'm pretty sure there are only 2 models of the PPK/s .22 (Black and Nickel), and they both have a threaded barrel.
