Barrel is thin (check YouTube cleaning vids) but it has been very accurate after zeroing in and has done a great job after 300rds. Really have enjoyed this gun as a plinker.
I love the idea of this gun but does it run reliably and is the barrel a soda straw?
Awesome gun. I have not taken it to the range yet but fit and finish are excellent. It's got a great feel and heft to it. If you're on the fence I would definitely go for it. I'm glad I did.
KW is spot on with his post. Theres no slop between the upper and lower and the fit and finish all together is top notch. It has eaten all the different types of ammo i feed it without a jam what so ever. Everybody whos ever shot the A5 agrees that its one of the most fun guns they have ever shot. Two of my buddies went and bought A5's right after our day at the range.
Which is the model to get? The A5 or SD? Is the fake can removable on both? As far as I can tell the can and the handguards are the only difference. I really don't know much about the real mp5, which of these two models is a better deal copy of the original? Thanks for any help.
I have the A5, got it because the handguard looks like the MP5. The can on it will unscrew at the end of the barrel revealing a very, very thin walled barrel under the can that looks like a thick straw. This barrel is advertised as match grade. This barrel will also move around when the can is in place over it and screwed down tight.Whatever, it's a toy, but other than that barrel thing it's a solid, heavy ,fun little gun that does look pretty close to the real thing. I will buy another when the price gets right.
FIRST NEVER EVER buy GSG --- I have never had one feed properly and the same for my friends that have purchased them -- ALWAYS spend the extra $100 and buy Walther copies.
I have this in the SD model - I love it and so does a buy of mine that was on swat.
Ordered Monday and shipped on Wed. expected delivery at my FFL on Friday. Im happy with CDNN at this point!
I love PSA but good luck getting them to ship before the end of the year. They are notorious for very long ship times.
Right now, PSA has the MP5 A5 for $269.99 + shipping. Better deal by ~ $30.
Ordered on Monday and the FFL that was on their map was a preference vendor so ordering was very easy. I yltalked to customer service and they said the fastest way to get was doing it online which I did. Received package on wednesday!!!! Also only $10.00 transfer fee. Love it!
Does anyone know if the compensator can be removed, an if its threaded for a suppressor?
I wound up buying this rifle and shot it for the first time yesterday. The suppressor is fake. The barrel is threaded at the end and you can remove the fake can, but you have to get an adapter to put a regular muzzle break or suppressor on it since the threads are different.
CDNN sure doesn't make it easy to order guns from them. I just tried to order this and couldn't get past the FFL part. Unless the company is already in their system then you can't order it to be delivered there. Other companies allow you to place the order then call the dealer to fax their license.
Guess I'll just have to call on Monday. Hopefully they won't be sold out by then.
Not on sale anymore.
