Bought it and then realized they had the same deal two months ago with the 3X LER Magnifier Gen IV instead of the Gen III (for the same price). Debating as to whether or not I should return it and wait for the Gen IV deal to come back around again. Damn.

Believe reviews indicate the III is the more desired design when compared to the IV, but could be mistaken

Why the hell are they bundling a 3x magnifier with the sparc AR red dot that they know isn't recommended for use with it? Seems odd?

Vortex VMX-3T, it doesn't say anything about the Primary Arms PA3XGENIII one way or the other.

NOTE: The VMX-3T Magnifier is not recommended for use with the SPARC AR.

The note is wrong. Bad info. If you have a question about a product, best thing to do is go to the manufacturer's website. And if any of you would have taken the time to go to Vortex and look at the VMX-3T product description you would see that. "The VMX-3T Magnifier will work with any of our red dots but it is not recommended for use with the prism scopes." So, according to Vortex, IT WILL work with the SparcAR, since it is a red dot and not a prism. The only prism optic they sell is the Spitfire

Ah, that makes sense. Ok thanks for the info. ;; So ai guess the next question is: has anyone had success using this pairing?

I have the same set up. Although, I wouldn't be able to tell you the PA magnifier's gen. I bought it a couple of years or so ago. The set up is not as accurate as I would like it to be. POI is about 3-4 inches below compared to the SPARC. Also, I didn't find the PA mag's glass as clear as the SPARC's.

JM2. It's possible that the newest gen is better than mine. At some point I will switch to an EOTECH set up or just go with a 1-8 scope.

I considered doing a set up like this too, but went with the Strike Eagle 1-8. Does the same thing as a magnifier set up but much more magnification when you need it. Plus, the Strike Eagle has a hell of a reticle.

I choose the Strike Eagle 1-8 as well and couldn’t be happier.
