A very great red dot

It’s a solid deal but the $119 Romeo at PSA on sale is a better more modern optic. Raise to wake is worth the extra coin.

The Romeo is a terrible optic. They’re notorious for weak housings and bad emitters.

Does this come with the lifetime warranty? I see no mention of it

Obviously. It’s a Vortex.

yes ALL vortex products come with the lifetime warranty. I have 3 of them and have had to use the warranty once

The dot on mine gets unstable if you put the brightness past the 3rd level, the lens covers are not attached well and spin rather freely sometimes fall off completely. The biggest flaw is the fact that it does not have an auto-on feature like the sig romeo which makes the sparc one-dimensional. You cant tell a home intruder to "hold up let me turn on my red dot before you proceed with your unlawful entry please." Considering the Romeo can be found cheaper and has auto-on, I would go with it until vortex makes some improvements on this one. Dont make the same mistake I did buying it based off familiarity due to all my hunting rifles have vortex scopes. This model is just not as practical as others.

Got the appropriate MDX discounts but beware of the shipping as it will default to a $1 shipping charge and you have to manually change it.

Unfortunately it cost me $124.19 due to the F... Me Sales Tax State I Live In!

Micro dots getting 50k+ hours battery life. This thing, only 5k.

I like vortex but my Romeo 5 is solid

Not able to apply coupon at Brownells. Getting this message: "Coupon/Promo Code: Not available with VORTEX OPTICS brand." Anyone know how to apply that code? Thanks!

I kind of feel like the small tube diameter makes it difficult for me to pick up the dot quickly. I also have to gripe about the on/off buttons on the left side obstructing a bit of the downrange view. Just putting my thoughts out there for any folks considering this optic.

I just ordered and got it for $114.99 with free shipped. Now lets see how it preform when I put it on the rifle. I used code "MDX"

I would like to at this ... RETAIL is $259.99. Military / law enforcement get a certain percentage off of that .. I just did the math and this is a better deal then what I or any other MIL/LE person can get it for. Not by much but it is cheaper ! So if this is something you are thinking about getting don’t wait to long because this is actually a good price. I am not looking to buy one but I thought I would let you guys know.

Not doubting this optic, but the Sparc AR just seems simpler, smaller, and gets around the same battery life with a AAA.

Used this on a Ruger American Ranch to bust a coyote at about 170 yards. It's a good optic and works well on the ranch with 16" barrel and shortened lop. Very light and handy. I have the sig Romeo 5 also but the flip caps on this make it better for the field.

Basically the original Spitfire renamed Sparc II. I have the Spitfire and it is a nice optic. Can't say that for the original Sparc. Good price at $130 shipped

Nobody mentioned Vortex's lifetime, no questions asked replacement policy. Best in the business IMO. This is a heck of a deal. I wish it was going when I spent what I did several years back. Love the 2 MOA. You can get a magnifier attachment as well. I have that setup on my Tavor.

In for one. I’ll post once I have a chance to use it. I’ll compare it to my friends MRO and see how it stacks up at less than half the cost.

How does this compare to the SPARC 1?

I will need to check this out. Hopefully it does not have the huge blob of glue hold the LED in the picture like the sparc has. Maybe the switch buttons will work better too. Sent back the sparc and got the Romeo 5. A much better product in my opinion.

Look, I'm honestly just trying to save everyone some money. I've disclosed that the link is my own referral link, and if you do some Googling, you'll see that the site is legit. It is by no means my site. Use it or don't, just trying to get that cpr as low as possible.

damn, I have a SPARC II, a SPARC AR and a Primary Arms advanced microdot, but for $126 I had to grab another for another gun. I though $140 for the SPARC AR was a steal, but this is awesome.

Anyone compare this to my signature Romeo 5? Are they about same. Does this have the motion on like sign and auto off

auto off, yes, motion on.... no

This one or the SPARC AR that PSA is currently blowing out sales for similar or less?

0 votes
0 votes

I settled on the Sparc AR. PSA is killin it with the deals lol.

0 votes
0 votes

sight wise. they're about the same. HOWEVER, the AR has a unique style of mount that only works with AR's (why it's called SPARC AR), and the battery is a AA that is built into the mount. the SPARC II is more versatile IMO, but either are great budget optics. I have both.

The Sparc AR has an obnoxiously thick housing. Sight picture is kind of shitty. In my opinion, this one is a better choice.
