I had to message again before I received mine as well. It was worth the hassle, we scored on this price/listing mistake.

On 11/30 I emailed Cabela's cust service about my gift cards. I rec'd a response this morning, 12/5.

I complained again to them last week and a few days later I received a physical $40 gift card from Cabela's.

I sent them a message tonight about not receiving my $40

So it's been almost a month since I purchased 3 of these and still no cabela bucks. Has anyone received theirs yet?

I got the same email. I bought three scopes so that kinda sucks.

Cabelas to send gift card for $40. I just rec'd an email from Cabelas saying:

Dear Cabela’s customer,
Thank you for your recent purchase on October 31, 2107.
The Vortex scope (Item number 713514) was advertised to include a $40 rebate with the item. Unfortunately this was an error on our part. We will be sending you a $40 gift card in lieu of the advertised rebate. This will be mailed separately. Please allow 1 – 2 weeks for delivery.
We appreciate your business and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Cabelas said they are aware and working on the problem. The Cabelas Bucks will most likely come in an email.

I also got mine today with no bucks. Gonna call tomorrow. Thanks to pipsydog for having the screenshots. I forgot to do that.

I received my scope today but no bucks (working on that). I did jump on this deal almost as soon as it was posted, however.

Update: I received this response from Cabela's Customer Service on 11/6/17:

CABELA'S, Are you listening? You are losing customers by the thousands with your despicable business practices. I, too, ordered this scope, only to have my order cancelled two days later. And you didn't even give any of us the courtesy of a cancellation email. Your are charting your own demise. There are MANY businesses who love the bad decisions that you are making, because your customers are now their customers.

I ordered 3 on 10/31 and all three showed as shipped on the night of 11/1.

Check the status this morning and mine was cancelled. No notification from Cabelas that it was cancelled. I'm done with them.

same here, ordered and said in stock. Next day, viewed order history and said cancelled. Called cabelas and they said model discontinued and recommended a comparable model. Of course their comparable model was 2x the price with less features. Typical bait and switch by cabelas. Long time customer, but cancelling my card today. I am tired of their crap.

Ordered one yesterday when it said it was instock online, recieved a confirmation email thanking me for my order only to find out today that they had canceled it without any type of notification. I called to ask why this had happened and their customer service rep stated that they were showing that the scope was on back order. So I asked that since they're on back order wouldn't they just send me the scope when it was back in stock and she could not answer this. I Would expect better service from a large place like cabelas. They had no offer to help rectify the situation either, not even a 10% off your next order for the inconvenience. Doubt I'll ever shop with cabelas again after this. Seems like a minor problem but that's basically false advertisement. Poor business practices!

Logged in this morning and order was cancelled by them. No email or anything! Looks like others feelings towards Cabela's is justified. Not cool Cabela's!

So I call Cabelas to find out how the $40 bucks works. She tells me deal good until Nov 8 and they have lots of 4x12 in stock @ $98. I go back to the site to order and bingo, GONE. From getting off the phone to placing the order, NADA. Did anyone score that deal or was it a big mistake?

I placed my order at 15:30 and chatted with customer service rep about the $40 cabela bucks and they will be included on the packing slip. She stated my order was already on backorder, but for some reason they still have them listed as in stock online. I doubt I'll get one at this point. Fairly typical for cabelas. I swore off them last year and should have stuck with staying away.

Cabelas has changed it from the BDC reticle to VPlex.

The price itself isn't a great deal but with a gift card and you like "Vortex" then go for it. Last year people praised how "Vortex" is a great company and from my experience, they just sell decent Chinese stuff. I would wait till Black Friday.

Log into your account and they say back ordered. I’m hoping it comes through. It’s to good of a deal.

Did anyone receive a confirmation that didn’t say back ordered? I called Cabela’s and they said it was up vortex if they were going to send any more. That the scope was discontinued and they would not give me any estimates on a eta or if they were just going to cancel the order like they do.

What is with comments from year ago? Thanks for post bought one. I noticed cabelas bucks need to be used before Nov 8. Is that correct? No big deal still worth deal but would rather have bucks to use closer to black friday.

Dang ... incredible deal. Had one of the $100 gift cards which I paid $82 for sitting around. That, + Cabela's Mil discount, + the free shipping coupon code, + the $40 Cabela's Bucks effectively put this at about $40 shipped incl tax. Didn't really need this, but still wasn't going to pass it up.

How to you put infor $40 in cabelas bucks?

I called. Gift cards ship with your order, $40 per scope no games. This is an unreal price if they dont retract it (as cabelas is known for doing). I paid $130 for this scope a year ago on amazon and that was a good price. this is crazy

Great price, anyone want to chime in as to maybe this isn't a good scope to go with? Going to be used on an ar15 or bolt action 308 (Winchester model 70)

Well shoot, I paid more than this for a similar spec'd Crossfire II, and that's before factoring in the gift card. At this price, it's a justified upgrade for my 10/22.
