When I called the rep told me they had lots in stock and this special was good until Nov 8 or til they run out. I went to place my order 3 minutes later and they were out of stock. Sounds to me like they found out they were going to lose too much and pulled the offer. I bet there is a pile sitting on a shelf there somewhere.
Cabelas just did a great bait and switch. Ordered the AO as advertised on web site. They accepted order then cancelled. Said comparable models were available at 2x price. Last time I order from cabelas!
If you are going to use this on and AR with rear folding sights it is better to not use an PEPR mount. Use a standard mount to get proper eye relief. The PEPR sets the scope too far forward for my preference since the rear sight is in the way..

I have one of these AO model scopes, and I don't believe you can get a better value for the money. I have it mounted on a Saiga Sporter and am extremely happy with it.
I have had one of these scopes for almost a year, and I love it. I have on top of a 18" AR, SPR setup.
Great scope for them money. I bought one 6 months ago for this price and if is well worth it.
Ordered one yesterday when it said it was instock online, recieved a confirmation email thanking me for my order only to find out today that they had canceled it without any type of notification. I called to ask why this had happened and their customer service rep stated that they were showing that the scope was on back order. So I asked that since they're on back order wouldn't they just send me the scope when it was back in stock and she could not answer this. I Would expect better service from a large place like cabelas. They had no offer to help rectify the situation either, not even a 10% off your next order for the inconvenience. Doubt I'll ever shop with cabelas again after this. Seems like a minor problem but that's basically false advertisement. Poor business practices!
