  • Probably my second favorite red dot in this price range. I bought this and the Sig Romeo 5 at the same time and have been using them side by side. In terms of features they are mostly equal except the Crossfire lacks the Sigs Motion Activation system. The Crossfire great glass and has held up very well on different setups, being used as an offset, and drop tested. But, for the same money I like the design on the Sig Romeo 5 more (subjective, based on looks and personal preference) and the Sig has the MOTAC advantage, whether or not that is a big deal is up to you. Overall it is still a great dot and if you can find one on a killer deal or you already have one you should be very happy with the performance and durability.

Thank god it doesn't have shame awake.
Can you imagine how dejected the little guy would feel after getting shame awoken a few times in a row ?
    Oh the humanity!

Shipping is from Brooklyn, New York what Reminds me about time on eBay, when it was the worst place to buy a camera because of crooks.

This is not a crossfire ii. Crossfire ii Is a scope. Derrrrr. This is a CF-RD2

That is a true statement. People mistakenly called it Crossfire II, when in fact the Crossfire 2 is a rifle scope. This one is the CF-RD2, an upgrade to the CF-RD1. The CF-RD2 has 50,000 battery life hour at level 6. The CF-RD1 has 7,000 battery life hour at level 6.

Compared to the Sig Sauer Romeo5, the major differences are that the Romeo5 has motion activated illumination and this one (CF-RD2) is anti-reflective coatings. For mounts, this one comes with a high and low mount. The Sig Sauer Romeo5 comes with high mount only.

I really don't know how they estimated the battery life on the Sig Sauer Romeo5 to be 50,000. Might because it has Motion Activated Illumination.

I recieved mine last week. Really happy with it so far. I will see how well I can shoot with it but I think it will be fine. The second version of this red dot basically has 2 new light modes for night vision, and the battery is supposed to last 50,000 hous now compared to the first version. But for a little over $130 I dont think it can be beat right now.

Is there really a version 2? I don’t see any reviews.

Are you asking whether version 2 exists? It does. Information can be found on Vortex's site. There are some differences between v.1 and 2. Version 1 seems to be discontinued by Vortex.

Runnings.com has version 1 for 89.99 shipped the last I looked... but this isnt bad for version 2.
