The packaging was pretty convincing, as was the loader, but it is a fake. I hate scammers.
Amazon knows these are fakes. I and about a dozen people I know called them. Funny, they were very concerned, but keep selling the same counterfeit merchandise. They even charged return shipping to those people that returned the item, even though it was fake and misrepresented.
I had no idea and ordered one last night. I'll be sure to inspect it closely.

I took a few pics, emailed Maglula, and heard back. It's definitely a counterfeit. It smells terrible too, like cheap plastic. I'm guessing the legit ones don't stink like this. It does work pretty good though. But I'll be returning it to Amazon. The loaders go on sale at Midway from time to time.
Just take a few pictures and email them to Maglula on their web page. They will tell you if it is real or fake.
To be honest you might be less likely to get a fake if it's not from amazon, amazon puts the same products (as in from different sellers) in the same bin at the warehouses, if it has the same UPC & packaging at a quick inspection. When an order comes for that product they grab one from the bin.
I got mine on ebay for $28 shipped quickly & verified with maglula (with lots of pics) that it's legit.
Very true about the way Amazon fulfills orders. There were about 15-20 of us that got the counterfeit ones on this same listing fulfilled by Amazon a month ago.
Just make sure you purchase from "Amazon.com" and not some fly-by-night operation and you should be fine.
I bought one on EBAY that wasn't counterfeit. At least it doesn't look it. Works 100% perfect. This is a MUST HAVE item. It will save your fingers a lot of wear and tear. Especially for hard to load mags.
I bought one from ebay that was a fake. There are more fakes on ebay then Amazon. You just need to watch the sellers and where there shipped from. At least with Amazon prime you get free return shipping.
I've bought two of these from Amazon, and mine aren't fakes. Are you sure the one you got explicitly said it was a MagLula, or did it just use the same pic and description? I've seen the knock-offs and their listings are basically identical, but if you look closely, they don't actually say MagLula.
It was in Maglula packaging. Take a photo and go to Maglula's web page and send it to them. They are the ones that stated they were fake. There is a link to Maglula's web site warning against buying from Amazon or Ebay. http://www.maglula.com/faq/... I was contacted by the Maglula CEO personally about the product. I actually contacted the merchant that had Amazon fulfill the order and he sent me another fake loader that actually came with the aligner which really pissed off Maglula. That is a $15 additional item with the real product. I have to say the product was good quality, just counterfeit. Without sending a picture to Maglula, I would have never guessed it was fake. I was tipped off by a member of a forum where a lot of people ordered the product. Amazon was pretty lame in their actions. First they have relisted the same ad, they probably have a lot of merchandise to get rid of. It had been taken down for a month. Then 2nd, Amazon charged return shipping to those who contacted them about the product being counterfeit. Amazon has been caught selling fakes many times, including Howard Leight Impact Sport ear protection.
Bought one of these a month ago that was fulfilled by Amazon that was a Chinese counterfeit. Maglula bought it from me to use as evidence. They told me the Amazon loaders are all fakes.
That doesn't make sense, "all the ones are counterfeit?"
Maglula doesn't sell to Amazon. Even merchandise fulfilled by Amazon gets sent to Amazon by 3rd party sellers. http://www.maglula.com/faq/...

Fake China JUNK! I just received it and it says MADE IN CHINA Right on the side of the Cheap clear plastic bag it was in. People in reviews say its Real and IN retail package, They are Liars Most likely paid fake reviewers that Amazon said but hasn't done anything about! Save your money and get a Real one!
