Why would one buy this when you can buy aluminum casing for the same amount of money? Aluminum casing is much lighter to carry around than steel casing!
This same ammo is 139 with free shipping at target sports usa. They have the best deals on ammo with free shipping on all orders of cases.
Thank you for sharing the price on the other site. I've been casually looking to buy a few cases of 9mm and I think I'm gonna order from there :]
Someone @ Brownells needs to set the crack pipe down.
You can buy brass S&B, Fiocchi, Remington, CCI, Aguila and Magtech at 15.5 cents per round.
Well log in and then it states it 166.00 .. that's disappointing..
Well log in and then it states it 166.00 .. that's disappointing..
I used to buy this ammo a lot, but the last order of 9 mm I got has been problematic. Even in my most reliable pistols I get a lot of failures. I have almost shot it all up now, but I am leery of ordering more.
Tula is the best of the cheap ammo. Shoot this brand almost exclusively in my WASR. Can't recall ever having problems in a little over 2k rounds.
I fired several boxes of 380 and 45. Never any failures of any kind. Haven't purchased any 9mm yet.
Many ranges today banned steel case bullets. Where do you guys plan to shoot these bullets. If you gonna buy these
Luckily I have 42 acres I live on to shoot whatever i want to.
My range in GA allows 9mm steel but not Rifle steel ammo.
Which state do you live in? Here in Florida, I have 3 ranges that allows them in a radius of 10 miles.
Indoor ranges are not the only place in America where you can shoot. Tons of people have private land to shoot on, outdoor ranges usually allow steel, and some people shoot in their backyards if they have enough land.
This should be called "Foolammo" or "Toolammo". Utter garbage.
I like my ammo like I like my women... Cheap, dirty, and reliable ;)
Price listed on website: $158.99 which is 16 cents per round. Requires an additional $40 more spent to get $20 off. Which puts this at 18 cents per round. Bogus deal and misleading.
Apply the coupon code for $15 off and free shipping. Misleading? Not if you bother to read the entire subject line....
I have this in a spam can for when the zombies take over.
@ uladz: I hear that often but never seen it for myself, so please show me a link where they sells brass 9mm for the same price with shipping included. Much appreciated
federal and brownell's were running a promotion last year where you could get american eagle brass ammo for about the price of this tula with shipping included. that was the time when uladz wrote his post. ammo prices haven't come up and gun businesses are running a lot of promotions right now, so don't be surprised if this one shows up again.
Wasn't that AFTER REBATE? Many people can't be bothered with filing rebates then chasing the money down 5 months later when the check never appears.
yes, it was a rebate offer. my money arrived within the allotted eight weeks.
I've personally had HORRIBLE experience with ammo rebates. I do rebates all the time for computer items, motor oil, tires, get XYZ free if you buy this gun, etc but the only companies I ever have to fight tooth and nail are the likes of Remington and Federal. Not worth my time if it requires 3 phone calls and a half dozen emails. In my opinion, if reloading is not a concern, crappy brass is equal to decent steel steel case for practice and plinking....especially if the steel case requires no extra effort of a rebate.
Sounds like you have had good luck with the rebates so your opinion is obviously different than mine.
i have to admit i was a little surprised it went perfectly. i ordered three cases, so i had to cut the UPC codes off 60 boxes and send em in. i figured some employee at the processing office, his brain numbed by opening envelopes and counting bits of pasteboard all day, would fumble a few of my UPCs under the desk and my check would arrive short.
I also bought 3 cases during that promotion. I took a chance and just cut the upc off the cardboard case box and I received my rebate as expected, bringing the total to .14 per round.
why would anyone buy steel cased ammo if you can get brass for the same price??? and I'm not sure if it has the same crappy bi-metal bullet jacket and their 7.62 ammo that wears out your barrel approx. 3x faster them copper FMJ.
I actually find tula more reliable than crap brass. It will allegedly wear out your barrel faster than quality ammo on something like an AR....but you save so much over 'quality' plinking ammo you can buy a new barrel, receiver, and bcg (plus pocket cash) by the time that MIGHT actually occur.
Exactly
Some guys shooting a 600.00 ar buy 2 more for plinking on the $ saved in long run
I've had better luck with Tula than some mom-and-pop brass reloads like Bite the Bullet. One bad box of Tula 9mm out of thousands of rounds.
This 9mm is the only one I ever have an issue with, not so much as the ammo is bad but the lacquer on the case seems to 'dry out' if left in the foam it comes in. The cases then become a little rough causing occasional feeding issues.
Tulammo is only considered shitty ammo by people who have shitty guns that won't feed steel cased ammo.
Otherwise it's great for plinking. Will you win an accuracy contest with it? Probably not but it will work just fine.
The "well I have never cleaned my gun but I am sure the ammo is the reason it won't feel 3 bullets in a row' guy at the range?
