What’s the appeal of a blue dot over red or green?
ditto. only thing I can think of is maybe if you've got some form of color blindness?
Picture yourselves in a firefight.. 1st wave is bad guys dressed in Green, no sweat switch your dot to Red and start blasting. Next wave they are wearing Red ok no problem switch to the green dot. Now what would you even do if the bad guys are wearing some sort of red and green camo, with this you can swap to the blue dot and still keep fighting.
in reality i think they made it for Star Wars people.
No shit though, my US Optics SR-8c has a blue dot. I had it done in blue because virtually nothing on the ground or on an animal is blue or bluish.
