Why is this so much cheaper in .308 than 5.56?

Dumb-dumbs, the thumb up/down rating system is for the quality of the deal. Not if you like or dislike the product. This is a great deal.

Some of may think this is overpriced for what it is. If an HP carbine 9mm came out at $550, most would TD it as well. If this gun was $300, it would get less TD. Having to cycle the slide for another round will definitely affect your aim. A .308 is not like a shotgun round. It must be very precise. A bolt action would have sold me on this gun. I can cycle a round while still looking through the scope. But not this design. I would rather spend the extra $450 on a Ruger Precision Credemore. Just because a company is selling something for cheaper than everyone else doesn't make it a deal. Otherwise we wouldn't need the TU TD system. I would buy a cheap $250 bolt action rifle anyday before paying even the same for this. This gun is for those who want to look cool on the range who can't afford an AR-10 or the Ruger mentioned above.

Did you even read the description? This is designed for people in states that have strict restrictions against magazine-fed semi-auto rifles. You are comparing apples to oranges and trying to assign a value to it when you are not even the target buyer.

Doesn't matter if I am a 'target buyer' or not. A bolt action is what I was comparing it to. Did you not read my post??? Last time I checked, a bolt action was not considered a semi-auto rifle. I would have considered it if it were bolt action. GOD DAMN you are a(an) ______________(fill in the blank)!!! If it is allowed in Communist states, it is allowed in mine. AGAIN...'I would buy a cheap $250 bolt action rifle any day before paying even the same for this. This gun is for those who want to look cool on the range who can't afford an AR-10 or the Ruger mentioned above.' And the Ruger mentioned above is...anyone?...a BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Got it this time?

Moron, this thing weighs like 6lbs. The AR platform has a lot of advantages for accessories and quick target acquisition which is good in many situations other than "looking cool at the range" i.e. pig hunting or yote hunting. This platform would be significantly quicker and out perform a bolt action for those uses. Pull your head out of your ass and realize there is more to life then the $250 bolt gun you had to save up all year for and get permission from your parents to buy. You don't like it, don't get it. But don't compare different platforms with different methods of battery and different uses to one another and try to educate the world based off of your moronic assumptions.

Seems you are the moron, son. This gun does not weigh 6 pounds. It weighs 7.1lbs.And my DPMS Oracle only weighs 8.2lbs.So you are fucking throwing a hissy like a sissy over 1lb?Doesnt matter if you like this gun or not. Learn about a product before mouthing the fuck off.If you cant throw a bolt on a rifle fast enough, dont blame the gun.Blame the user. And dont go for my parents, son. They are long dead and gone. But go get that fake ass AR-10.See how the kids next to you at the target range start laughing when you are standing there cocking it back and forth like you are jacking off to your favorite Faith Hill poster.I thumbs down this rifle because it is a piece of shit. And maybe alittle because fucks like you try to defend it.

I guess you didn't get it...(facepalm)...Well sweetheart, funny how you demand that I not compare different platforms when you do the same on the exact post. As far as your other comical grade school comments, maybe when you grow the F up, we can have an adult conversation. Well, this gun actually weighs 7 pounds. I thought you would have known that. Which is heavier than my 30.06 rifles. Heavier than my .450 Bushmaster rifle at 5.5 pounds. But WTF is your point? Some guns too heavy for you? Better stick to your BB gun. I have plenty of guns and needed no ones 'permission' to purchase them. I'm guessing that was the direction you had to go since your argument is worth as much as a bucket of shit. Maybe your mommy tells you what to buy, but us grown men can handle our own cash flow, Cupcake. Better stick to your XBOX, son. Your controller weighs less...Jesus. You can take your demands and well...you can find a dark place to shove them.

PS If weight is an issue with your rifle, DO NO...and I repeat...DO NOT join the service. They don't like 'little Nancy boys' who complain because their rifle or pack is too heavy. You won't make it past day one. Even in the Air Force. Doubt you would even make it past MEPS.

PPS Only 'morons' UP vote their own posts.

Finally found them E/SE of the Naval Yard. And the IKE is there as well (just south of them). Going through a six month PIA. She should be done by now. Need to keep her going til '29 when the new Enterprise will be taking over her duties. Nice to now have a Commander in Chief that keeps our military up and running. Still looking for the Hoel after they converted her into a power barge back in the mid 90's. She just dropped off the face of the Earth. This was her last position 07-02-07 https://www.google.com/maps/@-3.1250589,-59.927759,570m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en-US off the Rio Negro.

B damn.Cant believe you wasted your week on that project.Shes looking good for sitting around all that time.Yep.Nice to have a MAN in office that takes care of those who take care of us.Resident Obummer really screwed our country on military hardware. Our Navy needs replacements.Badly.No cruiser replacements in site. They took out our F-14s (scrapped them) and the A-12 project went under. Then they had to beef up a Hornet to suffice till a replacement comes in.And it is nowhere in sight. The F-35 cant do the job.Not against a fully armed SU-35.And our Nuclear Triad is in the same shape. Our B-1 bombers no longer carry nukes. Our MM3 missiles have been neutered and also need replaced. The only thing good is our Ohio class replacements the Columbia-class are on the drawing boards and the first will be laid down in 2021.The NGB was to be out this year but is still on the drawing board as well.Glad Trump got the cash to get these projects rolling. We all know that Transvestite Donkey Witch would have worried more about feeding/housing/schooling illegals than funding our military.Cant wait for the BIG E to take to the seas again.Sure miss ole 65.And afraid you are probably shaving with the Hoel by now.She is also missed.Had some great times aboard her.

You are preaching to the choir. And the Navy has been going downhill since Reagan left office. You can thank all the idiots in Chief after him as well. The Enterprise CVN-80 should be a great ship. They will have all the kinks worked out in the Ford and the Kennedy. Most of us will be dead by the time she retires.

Well, since I don't drink I must be a dumbass. Yep, just one 30.06. It was about times for bed. Had to get up at 3am this morning and start my day. Hope you didn't make that guy cry last night.

What a joke. Just get a bolt action and save a few $100.

Twice the rounds and faster than a bolt action.

1 vote

BTW-If you want faster, buy an AR-15 for way less. Most people shooting a .308 is looking for precision rather than speed.

Faster? Well, Not if you had it on a bi-pod. Doubt you could mount it on a bi-pod. And not very accurate having to chamber a round swinging it around and such. As far as # of rounds. Find a bolt action that carries 10 rounds. They do exist. One model is Legacy Sports IntlHowa Model #: M1500 Lightning Bolt Action. Another is the Savage Model 10 FCP-SR. Hell, if this had a bolt action I might have picked one up. It does look pretty good. But no way with the pump action.

This would be a jam up dog hunting gun, reliability of a pump, range and knock down of a .308. Would be a nice accessory.
