Not every merchant has a moral compass. If you've seen the movie War Dogs with Jonah Hill, Bradley Cooper and Miles Teller, that movie was not fictional and what happened in that movie actually happened with Botach trying to screw the US Department of Defense, as well as the Afghanistan army. EXCEPT what happened in actuality was far worse than the movie depicted.

In the movie they had to change the Chinese 100 million rounds of 7.62 to hide the fact it's origin was Chinese. There was other munitions, but the 7.62 ammo was the biggest problem. The truth is they in fact had to hide the origin of the 100 million rounds, BUT the ammo was so dilapidated and the ammo crates could not even be forklifted as the boxes and pallets had 40-50 years of extreme termite damage, and decades of improper storage.

For low dollar items, sometimes a good deal can be had with Botach, but their 'is it in stock game' they play, where one orders a listed in stock item, , and then two days later they call and try to replace it with a lesser item. They also have been known to take products, and remove what would normally come with it, then try to sell it separately. One time I needed a throw away M44 gas mask filter as I was helping glazing a antique clawfoot tub. Botach shipped me a damaged can and filter that was over 25 years old, sold as NEW, not surplus.

You just cannot trust these guys at Botach, as their moral compass is not working. Caveat emptor when dealing with these bozos

They are known shitheads. Out of the 3 times I have dealt with them, 2 of the 3 were straight forward purchases. The other was a circus that resulted in me emailing them a cancellation from my work email to let them know I wasn't someone to mess around with.
