Ended up ordering anyway.

Good news:
-Looks great
-(2) 10-round mags
-no freight charges at time of order
-fiber optic sights pretty nice

Bad news:
-no threaded barrel even if the manufacturer said it should be :(
-doesn't look like there is even enough barrel forward of the sight post to thread the barrel :(

Any clue if the 22LR is a threaded barrel version or the one with fixed sights and no threaded barrel? (There are photos of both versions here and the SKU "CIT22LRBLT" comes up to both configs as well during online searches I see JoeSixpack said his came threaded but I wonder where he purchased his from.

Based on this page the only thread barrel options are for 22WMR and .17 HMR but that too is iffy as the only photos show a barrel protector and the manual makes it sound like threaded is the only option for 22LR.

Man, you'd think in 2022 these gun companies could streamline product pages and descriptions.

If you click the "buy at" link it shows a non threaded version with fiber optic sights in 22lr, bolt action. That's the only one shown via that link.

Thanks. I meant to update my comment however I emailed Legacy Sports (the importer) who said they no longer have a non-threaded version of the 22LR for sale BUT it is possible that some retailers / wholesalers might have old stock on hand. So there is really no way to be sure what you are getting unless someone knows it is new inventory or puts their hands on the actual product.

I think I'll just wait for something else....especially being the mags are kinda expensive at $40-ish each.

I think this in 22 mag would be a much better rifle. Here's a . 22mag version for just a few dollars more.

I just got this gun on a BF sale for $110

The gun is funky.. however.. it's kinda nice for the money.. it's very light even for a 22.
comes with fiberoptic sights and a threaded barrel, it has a rimfire grooved reciver rail.. but it also comes mounted with a standard pic rail adapter.

It appears to be made by the same company making the rossi RS22 and rem plinster

so it can take those mags

also not 100% sure but grip looks like it's AR15 compatible.

Haven't shot mine yet wouldn't pay this price but if you find them around 100-125 I'd say it's worth taking a look at.
