Description

Since Browning announced a halt to the production of its venerable Hi Power pistol, a new manufacturer stepped up to produce a clone in the form of the Tisas Regent BR9 9mm pistol. This faithful copy holds true to the single-action design of the Hi Power, having a barrel that measures 4.6 inches long, all-black metal finish and wood grips. The pistol ships with two 13-round magazines and weighs in at 1.84 pounds, unloaded.

Just wake up from under a rock? Mossberg International is Mossberg's INTERNATIONAL division....i.e. IMPORTED. CZ is a company from the Czech Republic. Spoiler alert but Beretta, Glock, Zastava, don't make guns in the US either.

Buy American is great but don't hate when you undoubtedly have a gun cabinet full of imported firearms.

Baretta, CZ and Glock all produce guns in the US for future reference. Though CZ only recently started.

Beretta has indeed had a factory in the US since the 80's but it was built so they could sell guns to the military. Some Glocks pistols are made in the US, or more accurately "the only components manufactured in the US are the frame, barrel and slide. The rest of the components come from Austria." I didn't know CZ started US based production, will have to look more into that.

CZ has had their state side plant in Kansas City for at least 5 years now. I bought one of the original PO7's that had the problem with the polymer swelling at the mag well. I sent it back at their expense and they sent me a brand new gun with the new polymer that worked, no questions asked. Good customer service.

My only CZ is a Scorpion, I was really surprised when they contacted me regarding a free trigger pack for my "world legal" version. Apparently CZ promised (I had no idea) when releasing the early US versions with a welded trigger screw, there would be a fix to allow replacement trigger to be installed easily. Instead of just giving out a drill bit and a replacement screw they shipped basically a new lower to anyone who asked (with an impacted serial number of course). That was above and beyond to me as HB Industries' fully functional $6 solution is the aforementioned drill bit and replacement screw.

If the whole muslim connection leaves a bad taste check out the FEG Hi Power clones. They can be had for $200 to $300 and are great shooters.

Placed my last order with brownells. Charged my card different than order amount. Even with receipt they would not correct. Cancelled order. Something with their tax calculation messed up. Overcharged $22.
