Scope is Chinese unbranded. They say it’s sun optics. I sold mine for $25 but it would be great in a .22. For what it is Glass is pretty clear

How is the scope? I know it’s free and the rifle is worth the money even without it, but would like to know if it’s any good.

I got the 308 Black Friday and loved it so much I got the 223 and also the venture 223 great guns for the money. Compass bolt is a little sloppy. but we know not to expect perfection on a budget.

Recall is from 2016. They’ve added a couple of parts to the fire control group since then and increased the trigger pull weight. The gun is now safe, but at the lighest adjustment the pull is above the heaviest advertised adjustment.

The post recall trigger (on *my* compass and per *my* drop testing, which should not be generalized) can be safely reduced to 3.5# using the spring sold by earniethegunsmith under: model 70-old-benchrest. I am still evaluating another, more complicated aftermarket offering.

So the Thompson website says do not use these rifles until a corrective action plan is announced due to a compromise in safety.. Kind of a bummer I was looking forward to one. Anyone buy one recently have any issues? Can't trust every law suit

For a budget rifle it’s wonderful however my .308 hates tulammo which is the cheapest. Twice I tried shooting tulammo and it below the magazine out of the rifle. I sent the rifle back they said nothing is wrong with it.
