Just received mine two days ago. Initial quality seems fantastic. For the features included, I can’t imagine a better semi auto for 229 after rebate. This rifle and my trusted Savage Mark to FVESR, are my two favorite 22 rifles. If you’re looking for a 22, this is a fantastic option.

Picked up mine @ local Cabela’s, price match and discounted GC used, sounds like $200 OTD. Nice rifle.

Got mine the other day. Decent fit and finish like a 10/22, uses all the 10/22 parts i put on it no issues, Magpul stock , good sights and affordable i love this little rifle. If your looking for a better than stock 10/22 but not a heavy barrel or target model this is the choice in my book.

Had the same experience. However, after rocking in the 25-rounders with some heavy-handedness, I've worked the well loose enough to where the stock mag ejects without problems.

Update: rifle is still great added a wolff spring kit and tandemkross exteactor fit is perfect as expected.
I have a problem though... while the ruger bx mags insert feed and eject like they were hand polished the inxluded bolt hold open mag i received is junk! Does not insert easily and good luck ejecting it i tossed it in the garbage im sticking with ruger bx mags.

You tossed it in the garbage for some poor ole Sapp to find? I hope you rendered even more useless before doing so.

This is my experience as well.

Finally rain stopped and got to range today. Got red dot sighted in and ate the center out of every target i shot at. Eats aguila hv cphp and sv lrn, cci mini mags and federal sv lrn with not a single ftf, failure to feed or extract. 500rds no issues.

Last round bolt hold open, top rail, magpul stock, oversized charging handle, better irons + fiberoptic FS, threaded barrel... what’s not to like? Seems like a better value than your standard 10/22.

Last round bolt hold open? Shit, I’m in.

Probably so. I would consider the standard 10/22 a good inexpensive gun for beginners. Veteran shooters will want to fix the trigger pull immediately, which will already bring it up to this price range ($240) if not more.

The price after rebate is less than the gun it's copied from but I only checked pricing at Buds. The stock looks nice (Magpul), and the factory threaded barrel is a nice included feature that you typically need to purchase an aftermarket barrel for if you want a threaded barrel on your 10-22. IMHO it's worth the price at $240 A.R..
