Do they still make the model without manual safety? Been looking for over a year now with no luck.....

At this time, Vizard's website is showing that they have one in stock, ready for purchase. Capacity 16+1, no manual safety:

That is the UPC for the no thumb safety model. Only guns.com has one and it doesn’t seem like they are currently in production. Hope this helps

Make sure to check your local academy, $280 there.

My wife owns one and it is a great introductory hand gun to train a new shooter with at the range. If a thumb safety is a big deal to a new shooter there is one, you got a good capacity for less reloading vs. 10 round mags. We shoot federal auto match and CCI mini mags and have yet to have an issue. My wife qualified for her conceal carry license with her TX22 and it ran without a hiccup and is accurate. I think we paid $299 at Scheels last fall for ours.

Not fond of Taurus products which I’ve owned many up until 6 or so years ago, but this .22Lr is a decent piece, by reviews and trying one. Now I do think this is a little over priced, and I’m not buying from PSA any longer.

Taurus nailed it with this gun! One of their best and certainly one of the best and most reliable .22 pistols on the market at this price point. These pistols run and run good. They are the first 22 caliber pistol that Ive owned that are not super finnicky with ammo. Cheap stuff burns right thru this gun. Pleasure to shoot.

I'd like to have the recently released TX22 Competition model. I was never interested in having a red dot on a pistol before seeing this plinker. A LGS got a couple/few of them in last Thursday and had 'em priced at $363. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEZEcxEfJQA...

Yeah, the price rape continues. Now it's $349.99, on 01-01-21. I have one I bought about 4 months ago was $296.xx out the door. Though I like it in truth the quality of the materials used should make this cost around $200.

This is one of my favorite pistols, and this price is what I paid as a really good deal 5 months ago. Taurus sent me a new barrel, as mine was an early production run, with the barrel that caught led fouling. 2nd barrel is problem free. I have shot 10 k rounds of all the popular lower priced training ammo through, and only 10 FTF, during the first 500 rounds, on Winchester crap. I would buy another in a second. Plus it holds 16 rounds, and mags are cheap.

Thier cust. service was great. They sent me 2 free mags for the wait on the new barrel.

Love this pistol mine was a little picky at first, after a few hundred it smoothed out and has been trouble free for well over 2000 rnds would definitely recommend it don't believe all the haters take a chance you won't be sorry

Great pistol for training. Similar size and weight to the more expensive G44, but the barrel is threaded with an included adaptor for direct thread silencers. Magazines hold 16 rounds and can be found under $20. This is the first pistol my 6 year old can rack the slide and operate the slide stop to do his own magazine changes.

With 9mm commanding a premium these days, you can shoot your normal drills reliably for a quarter of the cost. At this price point, you have to give this pistol a try.

How is it getting to 119.00 after rebate?

It's a typo. Price is $199.99 AR however plan to add shipping and sales tax (in most states now).

Avoid this gun until Taurus figures it out. Great 22 handgun, but it's executed poorly. Taurus is in the process of sending my 3rd tx22 to an ffl to pick up. Be advised, Taurus doesn't currently have any parts on hand to address any issue with this firearm. Also, the barrels have marks on the lands which leads to excessive leading. Taurus is supposed to be switching barrel vendors, but who knows when this will occur. My TX22 has been in their hands for 6 months and my hands a few days here and there from initial purchase. Their customer service is good, but their repair department is THE WORST.

Not going to lie this is one of my favorite guns. I own CZ P07, CZ 75 S&W 637, shield, full-sized 4.25" , LCP ii along with multiple long guns and this TX22 blew me away. As a first time Taurus owner I was obviously hesitant, due to the very vocal internet... But honestly this TX22 is awesome to shoot. I could never justify spending $400 + on a 22 handgun so I never did. When this came around at $207 after rebate I had to pull the trigger. And so far I'm glad I did. It's made an excellent trainer for the wife and she has gotten much better at shooting a 9mm because of this 22. Highly recommend... As a side note I have seen some keyholeing and noticed very slight chattering the last inch of the barrel. So far it hasn't effected accuracy, but I will eventually ask for a new barrel, after they work out the supply chain issues.

Absolutely LOVE this TX22! I might have bought a second one when I saw the rebate. Lifetime warranty if you register it. Made in Florida.

I had a hard time finding mags so I saw more value in buying a second one and now I have 4 mags.

This gun has an amazing trigger and feels great in the hand. The front sight came loose and I needed locktite and a 5/64 to tighten. Nothing worth getting your panties in a bunch over.

It ate 3 different types of ammo at the range without a failure.

Gun shoots well, but I haven't had more than 100 rounds out of it. Mine didn't come with a speed loader, so I called customer service and they sent me one for free. I got mine from Kentucky Gun Co for $10 less...$249.99 btw. I am a big buyer of PSA stuff, too.

I bought two and they both shoot very nice hopefully I don't have any problems out of them. If they know which ones are bad it would be nice of them to send out new barrels to the people who bought them.

My TX22 has been in repair since the April. Very slow to repair. I am currently waiting on them to replace my barrel, and then they will ship me a better quality barrel once they have them. Taurus is extremely slow moving. Great gun though.

Wow shooting out a .22 caliber barrel in a few hundred rounds? What were those barrels made of silly putty? Glad Taurus is making it right though. Always had good but albeit slow customer service from them.

What was the issue with the barrel?

They weren't hardened properly and with a few shots the rifling goes as well as the end of the barrel gets chewed up. At least that is what happened with mine. Here is a link to the image I took before I sent it in.

They said it was a bad batch which they switched suppliers with and will be sending me two replacement barrels. Just taking them forever for that. Their repair department is slow.

Bought one a month ago as well. Will warn buyers that a few batches had very bad barrels. They have switched suppliers. Not sure if the new barrels have made it out. They said that they will send me a new barrel in 3 months though after I shipped it in to them for repair. So these aren't all perfect guns for this lineup yet.

Damn I bought mine like 3 weeks ago. Very nice shooter. Shot 100 rounds through it so far with zero issues.

I bought one a couple of months ago. Wish I had waited for this price. It has a very good trigger, good sights and shoots to point of aim so I recommend.
