Finally got mine exactly 14 days after placing the order. I see now that they are saying it will take longer on their website. Good deal, but be prepared to wait.

Don’t expect to get it quick, their still getting orders shipped out from 10 days ago. They’ve been selling a lot.

Great Deal! I just can't resist. I have looked at these for years but wasn't going to pay what they usually are priced at. I never seen one any where near this price. I have done business several times with Sportsmans Outdoor SS store in the past and had Great luck with them.

About the least expensive way to have a new big bore handgun.

Not as much as some users claim, but a legit $200-250 discount from the lowest retailer. I have to force myself to not buy it, only because I have no use for a powerful but high-recoil revolver.

This has to be the most fucking incredible deal I have ever seen. As a gun.deals member for years, I open the app multiple times a day to just know the market prices. I have been looking at the 454 / 460 caliber for years. This is insane! Legit $300-500 dollars off regular price at other stores. This also shoots .45 LC btw. Just now the 410 like the raging judge. I just bought one myself, and this sportsmans outdoor SS is a great business. I buy many used guns there. JUST DO IT AND BUY!

This is the Raging Bull NOT the Raging Judge that shoots 410 & is 20oz heavier & longer. I like the Raging Bull much better.

Yeah that's what I said/meant. This is not the judge. But. It can shoot 45 LC. It DOES NOT SHOOT 410. This has a nicer build as well.

3# is not a bad thing in a heavy hitting handgun. Here's a great & very funny gun test of this one, the Ruger & Freedom Arms. https://www.gun-tests.com/issues/12_2/features/-4467-1.html... Taurus makes the Raging Judge that weighs 73oz in 6.5", this weighs 53oz. SportsmansGuide sell this Raging Bull for $948. The good part is this shoots 45LC so the best of both worlds IMHO.

It’s a good deal all things considering. Just do not expect to get it soon from Sportsman’s Outdoor. Ordered this when they had it on sale 12 days ago. It still has not shipped out.

If they got their stuff together on shipping they’d be a mighty fine company.

Yes, I agree. They are the only place I have bought guns from online. Usually it's fast, but my last order took a week. Ordered August 28, received September 4. I think the shootings last month have made people order more from gun websites?

Somebody give me a good reason to throw this SOB in my safe.

It’s a 45 at 1900 fps. That’s significantly shy of 2200 fps which is where remote wounding begins to be a factor. It’s fast enough to defeat concealed armor but it’s not concealable. It’s a bear fantasy cartridge for someone who’s never walked far enough to know what 3 pounds feels like. But you asked for a reason in favor: If 44 is Dirty Harry, 454 is Yosemite Sam.

They have a 2.5" on sale at the same price. 3# is not a bad thing in a heavy hitting handgun. My granddad had one. I wasn't impressed, but then again most guns aren't actually that impressive. If you need a mediocre, slightly heavy, expensive to shoot revolver made outside of the US, then this should be your ticket.

Thanks for the thoughts, everyone. I went to my local range, rented one and bought 10 rounds of ammo. Now I can say I shot it, but I don't think I'd ever use it. 44 Mag is gun enough. I loved the gun-tests.com article. God forbid you ever carried this with you fly fishing in Alaska and had to draw it and shoot it against a bear - without hearing protection, you'd lose all auditory functions for a month or more.
