Picked one up last month from Whitaker same price. I actually really like it but when carrying IWB the mag release is prone to getting depressed. Pair that with the fact it seems very light to to release or at least mine is when mags full and I've had issues. Maybe it's just mine. I love the gun other than that and am working on solution.... Maybe different holster..

I bought one of these a week ago for 209 locally (Perry’s Gun Shop in Wendell NC has been running a special) and it is a good little gun. I had a G2 in .45 ACP but it was too big to me for a ‘compact’ but this fits just right. I did have one issue when inserting a mag the slide came forward on it’s own…scared me! Hopefully just a fluke.

Get one and at $200 you cannot complain unless you want champagne on a beer budget. This pistol gets it done. I own two of them and have carried this as my daily CCW for two years with confidence.

Best weapon available for the price. ..just takes a little time to get used to the trigger. I own four, have had eight. Never had a problem, eats anything you feed it and is wonderful in the hand. Perfect conceal carry size pistol and still holds 13 rounds and has a rail unlike most of this size. Only about 1/3" bigger than my smith and wesson shield with twice the capacity. Can't go wrong here.

I have had one failure to lock slide back at the end of a mag and 3 failures to eject. Note that this was with Maxxtech ammo (cheap steel case) and have heard of others having failure to eject with other guns with this ammo, so for once, I'll blame the ammo.

This is experience between two guns and over 400 rounds. No FTF (feed or fire) and they just work.

Interesting. I have put about 200 rounds of steel case and over 400 rounds of brass case ammo through without a single malfunction. The only two problems I have encountered have been the trigger (shoot it a lot, it gets better), and the fact that the rear sight screw came loose after 600 rounds and I lost it in the grass. Taurus sent me a new one at no charge.

Nice video! Just a note that when the Taurus Security System gives you trouble, you had the manual safety engaged. That's why the gun seemed locked up.
I'm thinking about picking one of these up

Best value handgun on the market in my opinion. I have owned and currently own several of these 2nd Gen PT111'S. With the exception of a damn long trigger pull these are very reliable and plenty accurate. Once you learn trigger control and get used to the long pull you will be more the happy with this firearm. I have had 8 in my time and currently have 3. A good trigger, transfer bar, sear and slide rail polishing helps alot take out any grittiness that may be prior to break in. These guns do take some good break in time to be much smoother but for $200 it cannot be beat!

Being in a 10rd state I've been chomping at the bit for some time to get one of these. Even if I weren't an on-sale-only type of buyer (of which the 10+1's never seem to be) the other hitch is that the 10+1 stock is few and far between. Probably should just buy the 12+1, let the FFL keep the mags as a gift, then acquire some 12's like I would have anyhow.

Factory mags ain't cheap, but some after market sig mags will work. Good luck, love mine.

Bought one in December 2105. Broke on the 37 th rnd. The trigger safety piece snapped in half. Took 10 weeks to get repaired. Wouldnt buy this POS again. Spend your money on S&W or Glock or Spring or Ruger.

Owned this thing for one day before the cheap plastic rear sights broke. Can't find a replacement anywhere.

I wouldn't buy this again.

One of the best, if not the best, compact double stack nines on the market today. If you're looking for a great gun, this is it regardless of the affordable price and industry leading warranty.

Any time you can purchase the PT111 G2 for under $220 including S/H, you are getting a "Gun Deal Of A Life-time". FYI, my dealing with this retailer, PSA, have ranged from smooth to God Awful. So, hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst.

I agree, The PT111 is a steal at this price. PSA has really stepped up its game with CS and shipping. I buy from them all the time. Get them while you can!

This is a great little firearm for the price.. I am generally not a fan of Taurus.. I bought this from Kentucky Gun over the summer, after about 200-300 rounds, I have had no issues. No FTF's or FTE's

Yeah there was a day (a year or more ago) when buying multiple items at PSA would get a shipping discount (which should be expected since you can put two items in one box for one shipment). But not anymore, they charge you as if each item ships on its own. Of course after you pay they ship it in one box anyway.

shipping kills this deal. $17.00 is high. I ordered 4 different pistols shipping was 68.00

You're getting the gun for like half price and you're bitching about them not shipping it free!!!! LOL Some people just cannot be pleased.

It's a nice gun, but is't not worth $400.00

the PT111 has been selling for 199.00 for a long time here on gun.deals off and on. the price went up when they offered the $50.00 rebate. now its back down to the price it was before. the cheapest I think I have seen it on here was 189.00. if you ever paid $400 for this thing you got ripped off.

I like to buy another one, but FDE

The only negative thing is the long trigger pull . wife and brother in law didn't like it. I guess there in no aftermarket parts to replace it.

My parents bought 2 of these last year. One has been rock solid and the other has been a PITA. Keeps going back to Taurus and comes back with the same problems. Have talked to others and it seems to be a crap shoot as to whether you get a firearm or a paper weight.

I shot one of these over a year ago, worked well. Didn't impress me enough to want to buy one, but at this price you can't go wrong.

Depends on what impresses you, 5 of these or 1 Sig Legion. Don't get me wrong, I love all of them. I have 2 Sigs too, but this gun fits in the hand well, holds 12rds, and goes bang. Taurus has a lot of haters but they did this one right. It's not for everyone but it's a good'n

Exactly, I already have a G1 Milennium Pro PT145 I like the look and feel of the earlier model better so I wasn't biting when these first came out. But for under $250 delivered to FFL? Gotta be real nice to the wife for a while :)

Does this come with extra mag, gun case or any candy?

Extra mag yes, no case and no candy, but pretty sweet otherwise for the price. I bought my first one nearly two years ago and have been using it as my CCW now for over a year. Absolutely no operating issues and my guess I'm nearing 1000 rounds on it. It did come with a case. I bought a second PT111 about 3 months ago (just since the price came down to $200) and it came in a box (no case), but two mags. Only tested that pistol for about 100 rounds, and it was flawless too, and also used Mecgar Sig P226 and P228 mags for extended capacity and they both ran flawlessly in it, just in case anyone was looking for options, last round hold open too. Seriously, nothing compares to this at the price point. Sub compact 13 round capacity 9MM with two mags included with high reliability. I think the weight is over 20 ounces, so to me, it is just the right weight to offset some of the 9MM recoil that can be difficult for some in a smaller pistol. Ergos are good and really not a bad looking piece either. Accuracy is good, but I certainly shoot my longer barreled pistols better.

+1 on the performance and handling. I too have several Sigs I love dearly, but this Taurus is a hoot. Had to pick up another, the price is right. Doubt I'll get extra mags, since I have 4 now between the two.

Here's thought: $200 for 2 Taurus factory mags; free pistol included :)

Thank you, was mainly wondering about the mag for range trips. 2 seems to be just about right for how much I shoot/reload in hour. Plus I have a Uplula on the way that'll be here a day before my G2 and go shoot some thursday. Be nice if my Bulg Makarov came by then also but very slim chance for that to happen...

It's a good buy on your part. The last I checked the Taurus mags are tough to get and expensive, so don't forget the option you have to grab some Sig 226 mags (MecGar).

Academy Sports has the PT111 mags hanging on their rack with the rest of them.

I don't remember the exact price, but it started with a 3.

You can buy @ Vizards Mec Gar Sig P226 mags for somewhere in the $20 range as a alternative. I pulled out what I bought for use and one was a P228 15 rounder and the other was a P226 18 rounder. Both functioned flawlessly in my PT111 G2. I know MecGar makes a 20 round Sig P226 too. I think all options for Sig mags are under $30 bucks and should work comparatively to a factory Taurus mag as an alternative range or back up mag in a carry situation... Here is a link to the 18 round which at this time was $23.00 or so; http://vizardsgunsandammo.com/mgr-sig-p226-9mm-xmag-afc-18/... or http://vizardsgunsandammo.com/mec-gar-p22618afc-sig-p226-9mm-18-rd-anti-friction-coating-finish/...
