Inflated $30 shipping charge pushes this to $210, plus whatever your FFL charges when you pick it up. It is a mediocre deal given other recent deals on this G2.

Good idea. The stock sights on the G2 are useless in low/no light.

I bought one of these last year for around $200. Not crazy about the trigger, but it's a nice pistol for the price. Was going to buy another from here to use as a stash gun, but saw the comments about the high shipping rate. Agreed- not a "deal" when they jack up shipping prices like that.

Excellent gun. Never had any problem with mine. An inexpensive, yet reliable pistol that actually looks good!

Right? Not much of a selling point. Pay more + free T-vs-Pay less and no T. I can shop for my own clothing! :)

Right. You can knock off $20 from the price. But when you charge $30 for shipping, it will kill the deal. Gunbuyer has had these a while for $200. Free shipping. For just a few dollars more than this price, you can get the stainless steel version in black, grey, or earth(dirt) color.

Not bad price. I had one and thinking about getting one again. Easy to carry and had no issues before. Worse junk out there for more.

love mine, had it almost two years and never a problem--shoot it once or twice a month usually

The free t-shirt seals the deal for me.

Seriously though, this a great gun for this price. I have put hundreds of rounds through mine no problem, very reliable and simple pistol. DAO, and yes the trigger is soft with some travel, but you get used to it's break point. Non issue IMO.

The design of the gun is great. Grip is great, size is great, holds 12, all edges are rounded, double action single action is great for carrying condition one, mine never malfunctioned but. BUT, the trigger. The trigger engages so far back that anyone with an average to large hand will have a problem with it. I would love to carry this daily, but couldn't shoot it accurately. The reset is long as well. The trigger engages so far back, when I first shot it, I thought something was wrong with it because it wasn't firing. If they made a trigger kit or upgrade I'd jump on it in a heart beat. My daily is a ruger sr9c and has a great trigger but only holds ten and needs talon grips and has hard edges. Crazy how much a trigger can affect decisions on to carry or not. Watch the Hickok45 video on it as well, he hits the nail on the head as usual. I sold mine by the way. But if this is for a female hand or a small male hand it should be great. Good luck.

Single action?

Striker Fired.

Yup, basically a single action pistol unless a round doesn't fire. No hammer or decocker. Once you rack the slide to chamber a round you have a single action trigger pull. If round doesn't fire, rather than racking the slide for a fresh round, you can just pull the trigger again in double action. According to the manufacturer, something like 74% (IIRC) of rounds go off on the second strike.

So you can't officially carry this pistol decocked with a round in the chamber. There is a trick where you disassemble and manually put a round in the chamber, then reassemble without cocking the gun. That's how I carry mine.

Love mine. It shoots well for me and don't mind the trigger pull one bit. Very accurate right out of the box. 12+1 9mm rounds (if you use the trick) in a quality pistol for this price makes it the best deal on the market IMHO.

Taurus has had some QC issues lately, but for a $200 conceal pistola, this doesn't look too bad. Would have to read in depth reviews and get some serious range time in before trusting it for EDC....but the price is right.

No QC issues with the PT111 G2 mainly with 709 slim.

I bought it last year on price alone. I've been very happy with mine--I think this is the best value around in concealable 9MM's. I carry mine with no hesitation.

You can't more pistol for the money at this price point. Taurus hit a home run here. This thing gets good reviews everywhere. Is it perfect? Nope. But I would carry mine. It's had fewer malfunctions than my Glock 23.
