@blue_h20 No problems here either. You are aware anyone can make a YouTube video, right?

I just bought one of these and it wasn’t derived my home and didn’t come with bullets. Shocking. Can’t wait to shoot it. The magazines are stupid stiff.

PT111 have issues with the mag release coming loose. search "Raurus PT111 Gen 2 mag release button problem" on youtube and this will most likely happen to every single one of these guns eventually. Sending it in for warranty but under 100 rounds and not really sure how they are going to remedy this problem....

probably 2-3k rounds through mine without any issues either. Mine is about 4? years old.

I haven't had that happen in a couple thousand rounds. What I have experienced myself, which I know has also affected many other 111's, is that the end of the outer recoil spring flares out and jumps off the guide rod, tying up the gun pretty hard in the process. My two 111's are now equipped with Lakeline guide rods and 19-lb Wolff spring sets for Glock 26. I have had no other issues, and I think this gun offers an amazing combination of actual capability/usability and concealment. Smaller guns just cannot be used as effectively, and larger ones don't carry as well... The 111 is JUST RIGHT, if you fix that recoil spring issue.

I have about 600 rounds through mine. No issue with the mag release.

I have about 450 rounds through mine. No issues yet. You can something bad on YouTube about every gun and yet also find something good on every gun. For all my hand guns I have had only real issues with the sccy which I got rid of. I do take apart and clean my guns after use. Personally I have found that just taking care of your shit and know what you are doing when taking them apart and putting them back together as well as modifying them you usually have no issues.

Jesus the damn price on this keeps dropping. I ended up paying $230 total for mine. Great gun at a steal. Love mine. This thing puts all other budget pistols to shame. Best thing Taurus ever made. If I can get the steel slide at this price I will bite

They won't ship a firearm directly to your residence- it has to go to an FFL.

Shipping is $15.99 to total is $177.48 (plus whatever you have to pay your FFL). Getting cheaper but the shipping makes it similar to a lot of the other prices currently available.

Damnit I have one and had I waited just another month I would have gotten it cheaper. My fll is only $10. I may have to get a 2nd one. It's a great gun

This is striker fired. How is it SA/DA?

0 votes

Just because 99% of striker fired guns are DAO doesn't mean they all have to be that way. That's how it has second strike capability.

Any cheap aftermarket triggers ?

The deal is NOT currently out of stock. Follow the link. They may have made a modification because the handgun isn't DAO, and they fixed that in their description.

I have owned one of these for over a year now and have put about 400 rounds through it without failure. I usually have some type of issues with less expensive firearms, but not this Taurus. The only thing I can say bad about it is that the trigger pull is a little long and soft. I have highly recommended this affordable and compact pistol to all my friends.

Under $200 Shipped is the best price I've seen in 2016. I had mine over a year with over 300+rds of mixed types and brands, and ZERO ISSUES. Versatile, dependable, comfortable, and affordable. Great compact 9mm. I highly recommend.

This is a SA/DA handgun not DAO and is the best value for the money on the market. Has great balance and minimal recoil and one of the best triggers in this price category. Sure the pull is a little long but this handgun is designed for concealed carry so a long(er) trigger pull is to be expected.

I have had mine for less than a year. Approx 300 rounds shot. I have had a consistent issue with failure to fire. Does not matter the ammo used, is not a limp wrist issue or other grip issues. It has been returned to Taurus once. They could not replicate the FTF. Research indicates it is a known issue with the firearm. I am thinking of getting on the merry-go-round of sending it back to service over and over. I'm glad others have a reliable firearm. I do not feel comfortable trusting mine.

Under $200 delivered to your FFL. That is the best price I've seen in 2016. I have had mine for over a year and fired 300+ rounds of different types and brands of ammo, without a single issue. This compact 9mm is dependable, versatile, and affordable. I highly recommend.

It is a doa however has the second strike capabilities. It doesn't not change during second strike though. I own several of these. Great gun. IMO is the best conceal carry weapon under $250 and this price is fantastic. Only bad side is they have horribly long trigger pull. There are ways to make it better, also does get smoother after 500 rounds or so..

Unless I'm mistaken, this is NOT a DAO firearm. It has a SA/DA trigger, single action on first trigger pull per round, and DA for "second strike".

I see they just re-upped this offer. Based on my PT111 G2 purchase experience with them last month I don't hesitate to recommend Wise Arms as a seller.

I carry one of these daily. I love it. Fits my hand very well. Accurate enough, very reliable as it shoots anything I put in it. Finding night sights sucks. Mags are usually $27 at my local academy. I love this pistol and its a smoking deal.

At under $200 shipped I don't think you can go wrong, especially if it comes with two magazines like mine did (Kentucky Gun Co.) Nice grip, 12+1 capacity, well built and shoots like a dream. Best deal on the market, IMHO.

snlscom is correct, the ad mixes two models. The G2 is SA/DA that gives you second strike capability if a round doesn't fire. It has the manual thumb safety on the left and the key operated safety system that locks the trigger and manual safety in place.

great small pistol I got mine too at Kentucky Gun Co. way back when they were on sale for $197 the downside is extra magazine are hard to find & expensive the good news is mecgar P226 18rd mag fits like OEM add XGrip mag spacer for S&W M&P wallah!! more rounds + full size grip = more2x fun 2 shoot..

I purchased one of these about six weeks ago...have put over 300 rounds through it without any issue. I've run everything I can think of through it - including corroded handloads from the 1980s. It has cycled everything I've put through it perfectly.

I've never been a huge fan of Taurus (although my wife really likes and carries a titanium 85), but the PT111 is winning me over. I purchased this as a low-cost arm to leave in my truck without worry of theft.

I have Glocks, M&Ps, CZs, etc., and have for years. I am also a former military armorer. I can say that based on my experience, this PT111 is very, very good quality.

I have now ordered two more of these.

I'd also add that Whittaker's is a great company. I've traveled there 3 times (about 12 hours driving round trip)...and plan to go again.

Isn't this advertisement mixing two pistol models? Wouldn't it be improper to label this as a "Pro" & "DAO"? Looks to be a PT111 Millennium G2 SA/(DA) based on images and model number.

Best value in the market for budget pistol! With the exception of a very long trigger these are extremely reliable and accurate handguns. Just take time to learn the trigger and you won't be disappointed. Excellent buy here. Thanks!

Having had a chance to handle and shoot one of these recently I just knew I had to have one. Not because it is the greatest poly 9mm out there but because it is a quite decent gun and one that I wont fret over when taken on rough excursions where it's likely to be given second class handling (i.e. dirt, water, tackle box, etc).

As an aside -- Just spoke with Tim from Wise Arms, He was a very genial and accommodating person to deal with which made it easy to select them (among similarly priced retailers) for this purchase.
