Taurus Millennium G2 9mm Polymer Grip Sub Compact MFG #: 111G2

With its lightweight 22 oz. polymer frame, thin profile, and ramped 3.2 inch barrel, the newly designed Millennium G2 is the ideal concealed carry handgun. Available in two compact models—PT 111 and PT 140—the Millennium G2 features an accessory rail, high-profile sights, an aggressive, textured grip and melted edges for added comfort and easy concealment.

Taurus Security System (TSS)s
Taurus family of semi-auto pistols now feature the Taurus Security System, which provides instant-ready defense with built-in ability to secure your pistol and make it inoperable at the turn of a key. When the Security System is engaged, the pistol cannot be fired or cocked and the gun's manual safety cannot be disengaged. As with our revolver Security System, the device is part of the firearm and cannot be lost, and the same special Security Key works for both the revolver and pistol Systems (two keys come with each gun). To engage: simply insert the Key into the button on the rear or side of the pistol and rotate one-quarter turn clockwise. This engages the Security System. The manual safety cannot be moved and the trigger cannot be pulled. To disengage: simply rotate the key one-quarter turn back. This releases the Security System, yet leaves the pistol's manual safety in the "safe" position until you are ready to release it yourself and fire the gun.

Loaded Chamber Indicator
Taurus provides a loaded chamber indicator on all new compact, medium and large frame pistols. As with all Taurus safety and security innovations, the indicator in no way interferes with the operation of your pistol and is provided at no extra cost, but gives you an "at-a-glance" verification that there is a round in the chamber. When a round is in the chamber, the ejector pops out of the slide, exposing a red strip just behind the ejection port. While any loaded chamber indicator is no substitute for common sense and safe firearm handling, it is one more example of Taurus' commitment to outstanding firearms.

Accessory Rail
Features the Genuine Picatinny Rail allowing use of many accessories

Things to know about the G2....
I own 2 of them, so I'm not a hater, nor am I a fanboy. The PT111 G2 has been replaced with the G2C. Other than the name and the deletion of the "Taurus Security System" (which, IMHO, is useless anyway), it's the same gun. I assume they are trying to distance themselves from PT111 as the first version had a recall.

In any case, mine have shot most everything I've tried, although I did have issues with Magtexx (or whatever that cheap ammo is called), but others have issues with that ammo in other guns too.

I shoot my Shield more accurately than I shoot my PT 111 G2. I blame the shooter, not the gun. I like the Shield (Performance Center) better in every way except capacity and my Shield is my carry gun.

As I've used the PT111G2, I've found that the safety loosens up, so I do fear that the safety could be engaged by accident (I don't use the safety). I figure it's just a spring that's loosened up.

There was a time when the PT111G2 was hands-down the best VALUE in a 9mm compact. Other guns have come along that have changed that. It's still a great value, but there are other guns closer to the price point that aren't hi point. SCCY, EC9, and others have priced themselves near the PT111 and therefore, it's not the run-away "best value" that it used to be. The SD9VE and SR9 are also not priced too far above this gun.

If you are stuck at $200 max, then the PT111 is still the best game in town. If you're willing to go to $300, you have a lot more choices available. Options and choices are good things.

I'm still not sure I won't buy another PT111 at this price. 12+1 capacity under $200 is REALLY hard to beat and the gun is a very decent gun.

Replaced by the G2C, huh? That's cool...take out the keyed security system that nobody seems to like and distance themselves further from the first gen PT111. Seems like a win-win if the price stays the same.

If they would offer the pistol in a PRO version with no manual safety that would make a lot of folks happy.

It's a minor pain having to put a round in the chamber with the pistol disassembled in order to carry uncocked with a round in the chamber, but short of adding a decocker I can live with that.

Srilanka rs kiyada

$200 American Dollars = about 31038.00 Sri Lankan Rupee at current exchange rates. Guns.deals is a forum for discussing gun deals, not an actual seller. In this case the seller is sportsmansguide.com and Sri Lanka is not on their list of countries they ship to.

Anyway, in Sri Lanka you need a licence to own a gun, which I'm assuming you don't have or you would already know all this. Since there is only about 1 legal gun per 700 people in Sri Lanka I am assuming it's hard or expensive to even get a licence to begin with. So, no gun for you.

Had one for years, and eats all kinds of ammo, no problem. Very reliable. My only gripe is that is has the longest trigger pull of any gun I've ever laid hands on.

This was my first (and so far only) 9mm semi-auto when I got back into shooting and I didn't want to spend a ton of money. After a lot of research I settled on the PT-111 G2 because it was a great price, had good reviews and held 12+1 rounds. It also comes with two magazines and I got it for $209 with free shipping.

I've put maybe 500 rounds of cheap and defense ammo through mine with no problems. I did have one stovepipe when I was shooting it with my off hand, so not sure if it was a limp wrist or a weak round. The gun in plenty accurate and I love the grip, controls and feel in my hand. My son-in-law liked it enough to buy himself one.

The gun is my daily carry since it's the only appropriate self-defense pistol I own. I do confess I've carried my SAA for shits and giggles a time or two, but we're not going to talk about that.

It's important to remember this is the Millennium G2 version of this pistol, and the Gen 1 guns were crap and I believe recalled. Don't confuse the two as the newer version has pretty much received universally positive reviews.

So, if you have something bad to say about this pistol I would hope you have shot one a bunch of times and are not just talking out your a$$. Trash talking Taurus out of hand isn't helpful either. We all know they've built their share of crap guns, but this particular pistol isn't one of them as many tests, reviews and personal experiences have shown.

Spend an extra $100 and get a Walther PPS M2 for $299.00. Very high quality pistol.

The Walther was on my short list, but it only carries 6/7+1 rounds. I get 12+1 in my Millennium G2 with two mags standard. That's 25 rounds between the loaded gun and a single mag for $100 less and that made up my mind. I'm sure I'd be happy with the Walther, and it's get's great reviews, except for the relatively low capacity.

Won one in a contest so I can't complain much. Shot about 400 through it, only failure was after firing a round the casing got stuck in the chamber. Had to disassemble and use pliers to pull it out, past that no issues.

Feels good in my paw, light enough and makes for a good nightstand/farm truck pistol.

This is my carry gun. Shot about 1500 rounds and no issues. It is light and with both mags you can carry 25 rounds. Goes great with my alien gear holster

Best gun per dollar I have owned. It replaced my Glock 19 for daily carry. It is super reliable it is nearly as accurate as the Glock. It shoots everything I put in it. And if I have to use it in self-defense I lose $200 handgun to and evidence Locker as compared to a $500. The trigger is long but crisp breaking and has a short reset.
I also have an Fnp45t so I am well aware of what a $1000 handgun is like as well....

Agree 100% with entire statement! I also replaced my Glock 19 with this Pt111 as daily carry, more compact and lighter as well. Also feels good in the hand. This gun right now is best bang for your buck. I now have around 1,000 rounds through it. It’s great!

You two are beyond crazy to replace a Glock with Taurus smh..I know they are cheap guns but I would NEVER ccw a Taurus

No one said you have to

True but this particular Taurus is reliable and will go bang if maintained properly...like any firearm. And like they said, I would rather have this in the evidence locker...where it usually gets damaged and might not work right when returned (if it gets returned at all)...than my expensive Glock and the likes.

I like mine, it is not a target pistol, it is a weapon for shooting people at close range. I hope I never need to use it for that, but that is what it was made for. It is reliable.

Say what you will about Taurus or SPG (but honestly, if you're one of those knuckleheads who hates the Guide so much, why have you not blocked them yet??), but I've not found a better handgun for the money, anywhere. This thing has been rock solid from the beginning. Shoots better than some of my $500+ pistols.

The trigger on this gun is about as bad as you can get. The gun does not shoot straight. After you have shot one of those $500 guns you will not own this gun very long. But there are exceptions. I just would not risk my life on those exceptions.

agree on the trigger pull lol but I love mine I have no issues hitting the target. Maybe the other guy got a bad one it happens. check the reviews there are literally hundreds that all echo the fact that if you need a good reliable inexpensive carry gun this is a good option.

But eh I own it and use it wish they made a trigger kit for it though but again for the price and the reliability you can;t go wrong.

Check your local dealers. I can still get them for 209 locally.
At least half of the dealers in my area called them purple unicorns -- meaning they can't be found. The others were a smattering of 209-259 in pricing.
For a $500 gun, it's cheaper to order it and just pay the FFL fee (instead of sales tax), but at $200, it's just as cheap to buy locally, plus you get it today.

Have this pistol as well. Yes first trigger pull is long, but with practice reset is recognizable and the single double action makes the second trigger pull much shorter.

I let few people shot this gun at the range.the main complain was the long trigger pull.

Best sub $200 pistol on the market. I own several. . With the exception of a very long trigger these pt111'S are extremely reliable and perfect conceal carry weapons. Small yet comfortable and holds 13 rounds vs single stacks of comparable size like the SW shield. These do require a good break in period to smooth everything out but overall an excellent buy.

Saw this last night when it was first posted and 2 were left in stock. Almost jumped on it, but then I noticed in the description that it said only 1 mag instead of 2. Cheapest mags online right now for this gun are $23.62 before shipping...that's probably why this looked like such a good deal.

My guess is a customer was in their shop and wanted extra mags and they pulled them out of these boxes they had in stock, instead of ordering. Or they are selling them on the side.

I saw this within the first 30min it was posted, and clicked on it, and where it should say add to cart there is $301 finding discount, no way to add to cart. So either he had 1 or 2 priced at 190 and sold out right away or never had any to begin with. possible computer error or livingitup76 bought the whole lot since he already has 5 lol. my bet is one of the first two if you look at his previous deals he never had anything close to this deal before so it makes me wonder.

This is what America needs. A quality firearm at an affordable price. These are great little guns for the ladies, first time buyers, or anyone who is financially strapped and feels the need for protection. I wish our American gun makers would offer more for this market.

Compared to other Taurus i have owed its a very good trigger and shorter than the pt-709, pt-740 abs the pt 24/7 series. Near on par with a stock glock trigger. It actually replaces my g19 for edc.

Also the best price i have seen short of having a rebate. I paid 225 last year with a 25 ffl but had a 50 dollar rebate...

Wow, what a deal! Especially with free shipping! Excellent weapon for the price. IMO best budget conceal carry weapon available. Long triggers but reliable and accurate once you learn the trigger. I own 5, had 8. A little polishing here and there helps alot too

No issues with first 200 rounds and other steel rounds from a fellow next to me at gun range.

Shipping is $25.00 for me. $224.00 delivered. I bought one at PSA last week for $199.00 + $17.00 shipping. kygunco charges cc fee bringing their price to $216.32 delivered unless you pay by check and wait for it to clear. The $25.00 shipping on this is high but the total of $224.00 delivered with no cc fee bullshit isn't bad.
