Good deal for a decent gun..

Once you get used to the trigger it is quite amazing how accurate you can group this little gun. I have over 1200 rounds through mine and it has never failed to go bang and load the next. Will eat anything you put in it. I carry this over a lot of other guns I own as my EDC.

I own two, great guns, but trigger takes some getting used to. Also, mags rattle a lot. Too much internal space. Oh well, small issues considering the value and reliability. No issues after hundreds of rounds. But...do keep a close eye on the finish. Both of mine started to rust (very slightly), so wipe/oil them routinely. This was quite unexpected, never dealt with this issue before.

The best of the Taurus trash. Ya I have one. It always goes bang. Let's call it what it is the trigger is shit. You have to pull it all the way to the frame to go off. If you have little girl hands you will be fine. Bid hands take a little time to learn it. Pray nothing goes wrong with it cuz dealing with Taurus SUCKS!$189? Worth every penny!!!!

Lol! Someone should have been fired for allowing that trigger to ever make it to consumer's hands... I bought one for my son for his 21st... the gun, otherwise, is great... especially at this price! I told him to start pulling the trigger on Monday and he should be able to defend himself by Friday night...

I had two Gen 1 PT111 but I paid for one for my son for his 21st birthday when he got his CCW... the trigger take-up is absurd.. pull the trigger on Monday & you'll probably be able to save your life come Saturday night.. what were they thinking with this trigger? Once you actually get to the trigger pull, it's actually not bad!

Not sure how relevant your comments on the older Gen 1 pistol are. This is the Millennium G2 which has been getting pretty much universally good reviews. If you get a chance to shoot one please come back and let us know.

For the record, I love mine. Not a single malfunction, misfire, FTF or FTE of any kind in the almost two years I've owned it. The trigger pull feels great, IMHO, and is exactly what I want on a carry pistol. Great price, two mags, accurate as heck, grips feels great, 12+1, and this particular deal has a free NRA membership AR. What's not to love?

I had a Gen 1...but I'm well aware of the Gen 2 because that's what I bought my son... they function well, there's just way too much take-up on these triggers...

Cabela's has them currently for $199.99 + tax. I picked one up the other day there with a $20 off coupon and a 5% veteran's discount. Gun before tax came out to $169.99. OTD price was $184.44. Cheapest handgun that I own by far. We'll see how it does. Cosmetically fit and finish is near perfect in and out though.

Got in on that deal using two eBay cards and coming out with about the same price as you did. Gun seems well-built and like you is the cheapest one I own. Fits very nicely in my hand and I do like that holds a few more bullets than the regular compacts sold today.

IMO these are the best sub $300 pistols on the market. I've had several of these and still have 3. They are brass eating, lead slinging machines! Even aluminum and steel cased ammo goes through them like week old leftover Chinese food. They are nice and compact, (the same size as my SW Shield) yet they hold a full 13 rounds, have a rail and interchangeable sights. Everyone I've owned have never had an issue, no ftf's or fte's. Mags drop free and the fit and finish have been great. The ONLY little complaint would be the trigger pull during the first 300/400 rounds. They do tend to have a long pull and a little gritty at first. I myself do a little work with a Dremel and polishing wheel on the internals. A little sanding, polishing and tweaking the trigger bar helps this alot. Also just breaking it in after a few hundred rounds does the trick too. Most who complain about the trigger just haven't shot them enough...they shoot it a few times at the range then bitch how bad the trigger is.....lube it up good and go shoot the hell out of it! Problem solved. All kidding aside you can't go wrong with one or two of these throughout the house....

For a sub $300 pistol, it's not bad. What's better is Taurus CS. After a few hundred rds., part #1.05(rear sight screw) grew wings and flew out of part #1.04(rear sight). Ahem, a polymer rear sight, but, okay, it works. Notified Taurus CS of this problem, they promptly sent me two new rear sight screws, no charge! Blue loctite is my friend!
