have any of yous considered purchasing from this outfit? I did and something is not right, than googled NGOA and definitely doesn't look good at all, I'm not an expert navigator on this site, thou I believe a moderator, if one available, ought to look into this, I looked. and have yet to come across any sort of feedback of a completed transaction, let alone good feedback whatsoever.

I ha never purchased from this company but the idea of paying a monthly subscription for the ability to buy guns at retail is laughable. This particular gun is $10 cheaper than elsewhere but just one monthly payment to this "service" erases any savings. Unless you are buying several guns a month exclusively from them, you will never see any net savings (plus they are frequently higher priced on many items). If you buy that many guns you might as well get your FFL and cut out this middleman.

Not directly, you have to create a new notch.
I'd try the Sig (P226?) version of the same mag, as it fits the G2 PT-111.
If you have a Kel-Tec Carbine with a Beretta mag, the new notch won't interfere with the old one, so it will fit both guns.

I have had my Taurus PT92FS for 25 years and countless rounds without any sort of hiccup. I agree with those who say the 92 is the best offering from Taurus. Not a fan of ngoa though, their membership is expensive.

You told Glock that too, right?

BTW, check out this website:
https://www.taurususa.com/product-details.cfm?id=133&category=Pistol&toggle=tp&breadcrumbseries=92...

Still has "lifetime repair on every....single....pistol's....page's"

The policy clearly states (if you have the ability to read and comprehend) "The Taurus Unlimited Lifetime Repair Policy extends to all Taurus USA firearm models in production prior to January 1, 2017." Again "all Taurus USA firearm models in production prior to January 1, 2017." Not 'guns manufactured after Jan 1 2017.' Huge difference and still better than most other gun companies. While it is indeed a step back however is fair better than Ruger's lack of a written warranty or Glock's year / taillight policy.

It is true that Ruger has no written warranty but they don't have to because they absolutely stand behind their product and have the best customer service in the industry.

No arguments there regarding Ruger. One question though, so I am hearing that the lack of a lifetime warranty is a deal killer unless the company stands behind their product? Kinda like the Taurus Unlimited Lifetime Repair Policy? If not, isn’t that a double standard? For example, I have had 3 instances with Taurus items requiring warranty replacement or service; 2 guns that I shipped off that I did not have to pay a dime to UPS and had back within my hands inside two weeks (one gun was even replaced) and 1 magazine that was a jam-o-matic out of the box that did take 1-2 months to get a new one. That was when the TCP's went to the "C" revision and the mags changed. I remember every gun shop in my area that had them in stock was charging 40-50 dollars for a 6 round mag. I know it was Taurus’ fault the mags were on back order but not their warranty department’s. Their CSR’s did a good job at keeping me in the loop and I never raised a fuse because I had other magazines to work with. I am sure if I made enough noise they would have done something else but they did send me a t-shirt and range bag just for my wait.

↓↓↓↓See what I mean.↓↓↓↓ Don't read his filth but he still MUST reply. I'm happy he reads all my posts though. Thank god they place his name at the beginning of his posts so we can weed out his garbage. It has got to piss him off to no end that he doesn't get the 'last word' in. And yes, Ruger has outstanding customer service. And don't let any chump tell you otherwise. Good luck with this moron.↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

I am discussing the topic at hand and what are you doing?!? Exactly...trolling.

The adults are discussing warranties, if you can't keep up I suggest you go back to coloring.

If you are trying to talk some sense into WooHoo2You, forget it. I quit reading that crybaby's posts months ago. Funny thing is the idiot still replies to my posts even though he knows I don't read them. He would argue if you told him that the sky was blue, grass is green, and Liberals are morons.

Funny thing is I am your favorite topic even if you claim not to read my posts. LOL, keep lying to yourself "twinkie."

BTW, at least I do not have to change my name every few months to reinvent myself like you do. Hillary was it?

An improved Beretta 92. What’s not to love? I’ve got around 3,000 rounds through mine, and I keep it in my glovebox as a backup to my CZ in my center console.

Not sure what's "improved" about it.....no decocker thus no ability to carry in double action, No option for night sights, no aftermarket parts kits to make anything better(this, like every other Taurus firearm, is far from perfect out of the box) and that hit or miss Brazilian quality control......

Hard pass on this and get the original.

Do these accept standard bretta 92 mags?

I think the early Beretta mags work but not the current ones. If I am not mistaken they have changed their design slightly over the years as well as models meant for use overseas (like Italian surplus) are completely different.

Beretta originally had a frame mounted safety for the 92fs which was made in Brasil for the Brazilian military.

And as we all know, Taurus bought that factory and the rights to build the original 92FS.

Beretta changed their design, to the awful slide mounted safety. For what reason I don't know.

Do you own this model? No? Then please save your ignorance for topics you actually have ANY actual exposure to.

The 92 is actually one of the best guns Taurus makes. It's a knock-off, and as such, they couldn't screw it up.

The Taurus 92 pistol was created to improve on the Beretta design.... hahaha

4 votes

While the Beretta may be a better made gun, the Taurus has a more strategically-placed safety, a decocker mechanism, loaded chamber indicator, higher-capacity factory magazines, a rail on all its versions, etc. All of those suggest that Taurus indeed improved on Beretta's design.

There's no decock-only ability on this pistol.....beretta makes G kits now which makes the 92fs a better option now.

Can anyone confirm/deny whether Taurus is cutting the 92 line from their catalog? CDNN had a 92 on sale earlier this year for $300. This is still purrrty good price for a Beretta 92 knock-off.

0 votes
0 votes

Yeah, I bought a couple this summer from CDNN. The only downside is the mags. I found that I could modify the mag release button slightly so that I could use the normal Beretta mags. Also enlarged and painted the 3 dot sights on both. Now they are up to snuff.

They better not, the PT92 is the only truly good gun they make.

Don't know, but it would be hard to think they would eliminate it while the Beretta 92 is still the standard side arm for the U.S. Military even though theirs is a knock off. Have anyone heard differently?

0 votes
0 votes

The Beretta 92 is the US military's sidearm, not the Taurus 92. There's enough of a difference between the two as to where one has nothing to do with the other and neither could even be used for spare parts without a lot of fitment. Personally I think the military would have been better off choosing the Taurus version.

0 votes

Of course the Beretta 92 is the U.S. Military standard side arm. We all know that. I was merely pointing out that many people buy the Taurus 92 for the price point advantage and similarity to the Beretta and that some people even prefer the Taurus. Haven't owned the Taurus 92 so only know what I read. I have owned the Beretta 92.
