This model is the all steel. Taurus changed the finish last year from a shiny blued like Smith revolvers to a flat black that is supposed to be more durable, but to me it seems cheap.
I had a polymer revolver which was nice and light, but hated shooting it. The recoil was to harsh to enjoy.
If only the finish was shiny blue like the older models. Now they are a flat black.
Noticed the frame is polymer, maybe thats the reason the wheel and barrel are flat. Anyone have any input on a polymer wheel gun?
Good deal for a decent, inexpensive revolver. Owned a couple of these and they're good guns for the money
