The ruger LCP will have better resale value, and I'd certainly choose it over this, which is my personal opinion. PSA says the Ruger is lighter too.
So is this a deals site or what?? This thing has been OOS for about 2 weeks and a few negative comments put it back on the map?????
Its been hit or miss with this thing. I put 200 rounds through it and it would FTF. Sent it back to Taurus, got it back in about 3 weeks. It ran fine through another 200 rounds.
Sent mine in last week. Tried 7 different types of ammo and could never get more than 3 rounds off in a row without a FTE.
Fingers crossed
I had to send a PT-111 G2 back to Taurus after the trigger broke. It was returned in 6 days. I sold gun to a friend and he has put over 800 rounds in it with no issues.
Yeah, that was probably before 2017 before they got sued, settled for 39 million, started eating returned firearms and had not discontinued most of the firearms in their current catalog. Will be interesting to see how it ends.
Although Taurus sure ain't no SIG, Taurus reputation is more about the absolute jerks and sleeze at thier headquarters. Their service is the worst in the industry and they seem to love to punish customers who expect their products to actually work right. Taurus thinks taking from months to over a year turn around on service is perfectly acceptable and how dare a customer suggest their service plain SUCKS while Taurus deprives customers of the firearms they bought, paid for and own.
Go look at the Taurus blogs and the BBB site and see what a bunch of losers and crooks Taurus is. If you are dumb enough to buy their products after that then you have it coming to you.
People automatically knock it because it's Taurus, many only going by what they've "heard", without actually ever owning one, and it seems much of this bad rep is just based on problems years ago.

My local range rents basically all of the .380 micro compact pistols on the market – Kahr, Diamondback, S&W, Kel-Tec, SIG, Ruger, AMT, Magnum Research, Colt, etc., etc.
...
they tell me the TCP is the most reliable pocket .380 in their rental case.
I don't need it but would buy one if I didn't have to pay another 1/3 the cost of the gun in FFL/NICS fees.
The GLOCK 44 is better. It shoots a 3.80 as well but has a bigger clip.
Does it have an accessory rail for mounting a lazer? does it come with one clip or two?
Comment on the pistol: I have shot around 400 rounds through mine in the past 6 months or so. I broke it in with around 200 rounds in one sitting. After the first 75-100 rounds, the only failures happened when I used non factory magazines. No issues with factory mags. It's perfect for 7 yards or closer, but at 30 yards I can land 4 out of the 6 rounds on a human torso sized target. I have read reviews stating that these things can run around 10,000 rounds as a range rental before they have a parts failure. I believe there isn't a comparable firearm in it's price range. The action cycles much smother than my buddies gen 1 LCP. Only warning: around once every 50 or so rounds, a casing will get thrown directly at your forehead. I have been cut twice by this.
About Sportsman's Guide: In my experience, they are garbage. "Deals' are often a bait and switch and customer service was extremely rude and unhelpful. I will never buy from them again and warn everyone I know about them. YMMV.
I have one. Shoots just like a LCP. For the money you wont beat it. Do not listen to the gun snobs.
Some one say getting in high point territory. I happen to like high point .1 cause its American made .2 I have never had one jam on me "I have had a 380 and a 9mm high point " . 3 if u take care of them n show them the love like ur supposed to it will never let u down.
That wasn't a knock on Hi-Points. I am a big fan of what they do; building a functional firearm that nearly anyone can afford is pretty awesome. I don't know that I would personally buy one, buy I'm glad that people generally like them.
Damn, that's one fugly pos. Taurus is really good at making ugly firearms, looks like they are trying to catch up with keltec
This is getting down in to Hi-Point territory. This one is also US made. I'm almost tempted to buy it.
You won't regret it, I had one for about 2yrs. I regret selling it, very light and decent trigger a lot better than the s&w bodyguard I sold it for. Trigger that is. ran everything from tula steel case to gold dots without a problem. For $140 It's a steal, paid $200 when I bought mine worth every penny.
The ruger lcp 380 is $169 with free shipping at psa. Which is better
